Marianne's Life in Asia

Monday, October 1, 2012. I want to blog again . . . pray for me! This photo happened right at the beginning of September. After a pretty scorching Missouri summer, we finally got some "cool" weather, like in the 80's. I told Sarah that Fall was coming and the weather was going to start getting cooler. She is just beginning to grasp the idea of seasons. We were out on the deck, but suddenly she yelled excited, "Its going to snow soon! I want it to stop, I tell you! Finally, this is from Sarah's first day ...

Marianne's Life in Asia: March 2011

http://marianneslifeinasia.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 24, 2011. The Mouth of My Babe. I am probably beginning to sound like a broken record, but having a two year old is seriously a blast and seriously exhausting- seriously hilarious and seriously, seriously draining. But today, I am going to talk about the hilarious/blast part. :). This morning we were looking at one of Sarah's books which features some cowboys. I decided to let her wear my house-cleaning bandana around her neck so she could be a cowgirl too! We got her stuffed cow ("Horsey...

Marianne's Life in Asia: December 2010

http://marianneslifeinasia.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Sarah is going to be TWO so soon! I can't believe how grown up she is these days. She is 22, almost 23(! Months old, and learning something new and fun every day. One of her favorite things these days is singing. Her favorite songs are "Twinkle, Twinkle," "Jesus Loves Me," and "Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes." She calls "Jesus Loves Me" "Jesus Me." She knows most of the words to these songs, but just mumbles the ones that she doesn't. For example:. If I am chopping veget...

Marianne's Life in Asia: Happy Mother's Day!!

http://marianneslifeinasia.blogspot.com/2011/05/happy-mothers-day.html

Sunday, May 8, 2011. This post is especially for my dear mom and mother-in-law. I am so blessed to have two such wonderful, caring women in my life! I know that there is nothing either of you would enjoy more on Mother's Day than to get to spend time with your granddaughter; since distance still makes that impossible, I hope your day will be brightened by these photos of her! But you serve me and still make daily sacrifices for me, and you do it all so joyfully! I love you both! Welcome to my blog! Or, s...

Marianne's Life in Asia: August 2010

http://marianneslifeinasia.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Monday, August 23, 2010. As all parents of toddlers know, "outside" is a magical place. Its a place where the endless bounds of 18-month-old energy can fully express itself, where fresh air can soothe crankiness, where whining gives way to giggles, etc. We got back here to Asia right at the tail end of the rainy season, so I try to make sure we take advantage of any non-rainy times to take Sarah outside. We are very blessed that our apartment complex has this wonderful playground in the courtyard! David,...

I was 15 weeks yesterday. Wednesday I went to the doctor and heard the heartbeat again - so fun :). The baby had hiccups (the midwife said) while she was listening to the heartbeat. So far everything is going really well. I feel good, Wade's home from grad school and gearing up for CDS to start. The glider and the crib came in, so the nursery is even starting to take shape! Me at 15 weeks. whoa, starting to pop out. Even from the front. I can't believe it's so soon - can't wait! Posted by Kim Tapp. Gotta...

the blog of kimness: Caden is here!

http://blogofkimness.blogspot.com/2011/01/caden-is-here.html

Eight days ago, our sweet Caden Mitchell Tapp joined us at 1:34 am, on January 22, 2011. He was 8 lbs, 9 oz, and 20.5 inches long. I was in labor for about 18 hours from the time I was induced Friday morning. It was a very long day, and there were points where I wasn't making any progress and the nurses suggested I could just go home and come back another day. But I'm so glad my body finally kicked into gear and allowed Caden to come before I had to do that! Posted by Kim Tapp. March 9, 2011 at 11:16 PM.

Beginning a busy fall. This first weekend of October kicked off a busy fall - so many fun things between now and Thanksgiving - I can't wait! I know it will make the time FLY before Caden gets here. So, we stayed for most of the first half, then walked up to the Pit and Student Stores, and I got one belly pic for the road. Evidence of Caden's first trip to Chapel Hill! Life in Asia: Praise and Service

http://chosenambassador.blogspot.com/2009/02/praise-and-service.html

A collection of random stories and thoughts from my life in Asia. Singing with all their might. They didn't care that they were surrounded by a bunch of non-jumping high schoolers or that they looked silly, they were just enjoying praising God! And it challenged me so much because how often am I more concerned with what others may think instead of just praising the Lord? And I thought about how much He must have loved that, the purity and innocence in their hearts. Posted by Amber Jo. What is true praise?

Life in Asia: April 2009

http://chosenambassador.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

A collection of random stories and thoughts from my life in Asia. So - since my last post we had a youth conference, celebrated Easter (and I got to drink coffee again after 46 days w/o it! I went out of town for "Po Shui Jie" (Water Splashing Festival), had a dance performance, and a 3 day volleyball tournament! I was trying to upload pics of all these but my internet has issues, so I've just put links to another site where I have pics up. Enjoy! First was our youth conference, PERMEATE! Here a some pic...

It is hard to not get full when eating a real Italian meal with all of its courses. Marianne's lille rom @husetikrysset

Marianne's lille rom @husetikrysset. Jeg har allerede hatt en uke fri; har vært halvt sykmeldt i mars. Skal jobbe et par dager i påsken, og så er jeg tilbake for fullt i april. Blir godt å komme i normalt gjenge igjen.
