Fish, ski, cycle, hunt, paddle, shoot, camp. All things outdoors. Gear, places, opinions, and more. 18 November, 2014. Initial Impressions: Kast Steelhead Gloves. These past few years I've been finding that keeping warm hands has become a challenge. Cold hands while skiing are no issue other than discomfort. Cold hands while Winter steelhead fishing are a problem. Can't tie knots properly. You drop stuff. And God forbid you actually hook something. My conclusions were a bit surprising to me. Almost i...

On Saturday, 1 August, I achieved a personal goal I set three years ago - my first Century ride! The day before my first Century, I found myself turning to Google searches for "Tips for a First Century". I found a few ideas and pointers, but thought I'd share my reflections for others. Get Outside: Rules of the Road
http://getout1.blogspot.com/2015/07/rules-of-road.html
Fish, ski, cycle, hunt, paddle, shoot, camp. All things outdoors. Gear, places, opinions, and more. 02 July, 2015. Rules of the Road. I read an article. Since reading the article, I'm amazed at the number of stupid things I see cyclists do on the road that makes us deserve some of the driver's wrath. For example:. Riding the wrong way on one-way streets. Cars can't do it -why are you? Riding on the sidewalk. Not owning the lane. Riding two (or more) abreast. Unlike the previous items, which are mostly on...

What I have now is a bike that gets even more comfortable the more I ride it. Round One wasn't a rousing success. The SMP Avant. Cool - that's what I want to hear from my master fitter; confidence. Of Germany. A number of long-distance riders a...
