This quaint village is a popular resort on the banks of the Glaslyn Estuary, and is a world away from it’s neighbour, Porthmadog, only a 5 minute walk away from the harbour. The views over the estuary to the Rhinog Mountains to the south, and the Moelwyn Mountains to the east are stunning on a clear day, especially in the spring when there can still be snow on the summits. Maweni in Kiswahili means “the place of the rocks” and Maweni Beach is sheltered by rocky outcrops at either end of its 1.5kms of pristine white sand. Situated just North of the well-known Bofa Beach at Kilifi, the beach is shared by only three houses and has no hotels or beach boys (and the like! So it is very private. The house is ideal for families or groups of friends; with four double bedrooms and two twin rooms, five of the six bedrooms are en suite and the house comes fully staffed.
