The lads started off the league well however a number of games were lost in the middle. These losses dashed our hopes of being promoted to Division 2. We ended up in 4. Place with one game left to play. We were in a very tough group: Mullingar Shamrocks and Rosemount. Rosemount eventually won out the group. The club had a strong representation at all age levels this year. Had a disappointing championship but performed well in the Division 3 reaching the final where they lost by the slimmest of margins to Tubberclair. The under 16’s. Are going through a development phase at the moment and are the one group where we do lack depth having said that they managed to reach a quarter final. Again performed well fulfilling all fixtures and missed out at the end of the season by just a few points. The under 12’s.

Ballymore GAA : Hurling
http://www.ballymoregaa.ie/hurling.asp
Adult hurling returned to Ballymore after a nine-year lapse in 2008 when Fr Dalton’s took part in the junior ’B’ championship. And following the historic victory by Southern Gaels/Fr Dalton’s in the 2007 minor ’premier’ championship, the timing couldnt have been better. Over the following years the club has worked hard to establish itself as a competitive club at all levels. Fr Daltons have contested the last 3 Intermediate Championship finals and a step up to the Senior ranks can not be too far away.

Fé 21 Championship. This was the second year with Ballymore GAA joining with Milltown GAA to field a team in the 15 a side competition. Once again the competition was run as a straight knockout championship with our first game scheduled to be against Maryland/Tang. Despite both sides agreeing to move this fixture the CCC ruled against us and the match was awarded to our opponents, thus ending our involvement for 2013. In our group. Overall a better season than we have seen for a good while. This team con...

And following the historic victory by Southern Gaels/Fr Dalton’s in the 2007 minor ’premier’ championship, the timing couldn’t have been better according to Fr Dalton’s president Mick Kincaid. It was a small but very significant step for a club that hasn’t fielded an adult team since 1999, but was working towards that goal over the previous number of years. Fr Dalton’s woul...
