Grateful Heart Studio: June 2008
http://gratefulheartstudio.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 5, 2008. When I rolled down my driveway at 5:30 am (it was still pretty dark, due to the brooding rain clouds), I saw glowing lights in the hosta border. Fireflies! So, I went to work out, then went to coffee at the church, and now I am going to continue my assault on the basement. I tried to call and make an appointment to have the carpets cleaned, but there have been so many flooded basements this spring that they are booked up until July 11th! Tuesday, June 3, 2008. Randy mentioned that...

I have been living, eating, sleeping, and dreaming wedding stationary for the past three weeks and, as of today, they are IN THE MAIL! 160;The wedding colors are lilac, dark brown, and cream. The paper used for the invitations was from The Paper Cut. 160;Isn't it the cutest thing ever? 160;It will be filled with a small mesh bag containing Jelly Bellies in the colors of the wedding. It's now less than seven weeks to the wedding and...160;I ...

Grateful Heart Studio: Junior Prom
http://gratefulheartstudio.blogspot.com/2009/05/junior-prom.html
Monday, May 4, 2009. Alyssa is very anti-tanning, so that wasn't in the schedule, but she had forgotten that she needed a clutch purse to go with her dress, so we stopped at the mall and found a cute, inexpensive one at Wet Seal while Alyssa consumed the bowl of chicken noodle soup we grabbed as we passed Grain D'Or, since she hadn't eaten anything yet that day. At 5:25 Alyssa dashed in the door and we zipped her into her dress and were deciding on jewelry just as her friend, Chet, arrived to take photos...

Grateful Heart Studio: July 2008
http://gratefulheartstudio.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 4, 2008. The "week of movers" was, indeed a challenge. The packers came on Monday and Tuesday. By Monday evening they had packed everything it might have been nice to have access to (like towels, sheets, pillows, dishes) and left all the non-essential stuff to be packed the next day. Alyssa had the foresight to set aside a pillow. I was not so lucky, but a wadded up bathrobe served the purpose. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. A Little Piece of Art Stampers.

Grateful Heart Studio: Morning After a Storm
http://gratefulheartstudio.blogspot.com/2010/04/morning-after-storm.html
Thursday, April 29, 2010. Morning After a Storm. I stopped to check on the family of mallards I have been watching on the canal. The ducklings scooted in and out of the reeds by the bank, as the current was strong from last night’s rain. Along a farther trail an elegant egret and I silently eyed each other until she got spooked and spread her astonishing wings and glided across to the opposite end of the pond. What beautiful surroundings. I can understand the need to stop and look. May 22, 2010 at 5:46 PM.

Grateful Heart Studio: Rusty Is Keeping an Eye on Me
http://gratefulheartstudio.blogspot.com/2010/04/rusty-is-keeping-eye-on-me.html
Thursday, April 29, 2010. Rusty Is Keeping an Eye on Me. Sometimes he just makes me smile. Ill bet he had to really work at getting his little face so perfectly centered behind the chair slats! How dull the world would be without a cat or two, or in my case, six. May 22, 2010 at 5:48 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Grateful Heart Studio: November 2008
http://gratefulheartstudio.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 22, 2008. Fresh squeezed lemonade in November. This morning while I was writing, I glanced out my bedroom window. There was our huge Meyer lemon tree, laden with yellow lemons in front of a cobalt blue sky. It nearly took my breath away. Alyssa came in and, looking out the window, said, "Oh, we need to make lemonade! First Sunday of Advent: Hope. First Sunday of Advent: HOPE. Voice 1 - On this first Sunday of Advent we remember the hope that we have in Jesus. Voice 3 - This hope is wha...
