Sunday, February 28, 2010. 77 days and counting. Considering I have a blog, I don't tend to spend a lot of time reading other blogs. I feel that that's probably a little. hypocritical or unsportsmanlike or something. I guess I just have short attention span for that sort of thing. Anyway, I do find myself from time to time perusing the bloggosphere and there's one particular type of blog that just irritates me to no end. I don't even know where to start with that one. I really, really, REALLY don't.

Monday, January 18, 2010. Beginning of the End. My final semester at Drake is officially up and running. It got off to a rather slow start. We had MLK day with no classes and then that same Wednesday classes were cancelled because of bad weather. and I've had two other classes cancelled between now and then for other reasons. Anyway, I have yet to have a full week of classes, but I've gone to all of them at least once so far, so that's a good start. I'm optimistic, though. I like my professors a lot.

I saw Barack Obama yesterday at the Polk County Convention Complex in downtown Des Moines. When Hillary came to Iowa a few weeks ago I could not go, so finally yesterday I saw my first American politician meeting. It was too short. All the students and the staff members went to a Chinese restaurant to have lunch together. After the lunch we received our diplomas, there were some awards, people talked about their experiences and then time for pictures. In this one all the IES Beijing members: they were really nice and helpful. Next destination: Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa.

A few weeks ago I decided I needed a Halloween tree on my front porch this year that I can hook up to my light timer to light up a dusk every day, why because it makes me happy that's why:) So here's what I did.
