At first, I did not really think I was going to enjoy. Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Because it was kind of a Sci-Fi movie, but after the first ten minutes or so I realized this isn’t just any ordinary sci-fi movie, it is filled with horror, action, and thrill. The way the camera focuses only on his face and he looks directly at the camera makes it clear that he is speaking straight to the viewer and warning the audience. The last shot almost appears as if Miles is falling backwards as he runs through the traffic, warning, You’re next! The film is a drama directed by Tomás Gutiérrez Alea in 1969. The scene I am analyzing is the one in which Sergio walks out the door onto his patio and begins to gaze at the street through a telescope.
