The Korean misadventures of a rehabilitated news writer. Aug 22, 2013. The Beginning of the End. The time has come, the walrus said. Today is my last day of school. I just said goodbye to my students for the last time. Each of my classes today made me a farewell poster. I gave a 3-sentence speech in Korean to the teaching staff during a meeting this morning (nailed it, by the way). I told them how much I love the school and the students and thanked them for everything this year. In the meantime, 화이팅!

Balsamic Glazed Strawberry and Goat Cheese Salad. 1/4 cup balsamic glaze or balsamic reduction (see note). 4 cups spinach leaves. 4 oz crumbled goat cheese. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. 1/4 cup red wine vinegar. 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil. 1 teaspoon dijon mustard. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve salad on small plates and spoon balsamic glazed strawberries on top.
