After just one week, Starbucks has scaled back the company’s Race Together campaign and will no longer encourage employees to write “Race Together” on coffee cups as a way to initiate conversations about race. The company’s CEO Howard Schultz said in a letter to Starbucks partners. That the first phase of the campaign had been difficult but that other parts of the year-long campaign would continue. Do I want to talk about race with the Starbucks barista? Probably not enough. Go Howard.
