Monson Memoirs: June 2015
http://monsonfamilymemoirs.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
A look into our everyday life. Monday, June 15, 2015. Utah, Bread, Shoes, and Fringes. We had so much fun visiting, being interviewed, dancing, and playing with all of them. Pace loved being with the kids. A lucky random stop for lunch on old route 66! In the Texas pan handle. Pace with a cool cactus. Just chillin' in the desert. Wheat before it is ground (Thanks mom we got this wheat from you). My wheat grinder (isn't it beautiful? Flour ground in my grinder :). Adapted from Kathy Monson's recipe).

Monson Memoirs: May 2015
http://monsonfamilymemoirs.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
A look into our everyday life. Wednesday, May 27, 2015. It has been a while since I have updated, so sorry for the picture overload, but I like to keep these memories for myself as well. A few highlights since Easter are that my brother came to visit while he was moving out to Nevada for his new job. We went hiking and played games with him. It was a fun weekend. We got a great view of the hyena. Chillin' in the stroller. The new penguin exhibit is awesome! Three men on a bed. Can't keep these two apart.

Life is about creating yourself, not finding yourself. Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Day 45- Happy Valentine's Day! Since this was a last minute decision, I didn't have time really to go to the store, so I needed recipes with ingredients I already had on-hand, or things I could easily substitute. I went with this recipe. For the cupcakes (substituting all-purpose flour for whole wheat (this is not a wheat-free day! Almond milk for soy, and leaving out the chocolate chips), and this recipe. Make patties wit...

Life is about creating yourself, not finding yourself. Sunday, August 7, 2011. See that picture below? That is one of the many foods I turned down last night because I'm in the middle of a juice fast. (on Day 5! Yesterday was my toughest day by far, and mostly because of the event I photographed last night. I always get fed at weddings, but I. There were kabobs and hummus and everything smelled great and was presented beautifully! Shoutout to Elegant Touch Catering! Eat, and if I can turn them. When she ...

Life is about creating yourself, not finding yourself. Sunday, January 29, 2012. Day 29- Being Vegan in a Carnivore family. The challenge. What things will I bring back and what's going to stay away? If it was from a local farm, grass-fed, all that good stuff. We get the "good meat" occasionally, but it's really expensive so it's always been more of a treat rather than the standard, but maybe that's how meat should fit into my diet.as a treat. So I'm reading this book called Eating Animals. This adorable...

Full Circle: Summer Recap
http://the-whole-me.blogspot.com/2012/08/summer-recap.html
Life is about creating yourself, not finding yourself. Monday, August 20, 2012. Today marks the beginning of a new school year, and in a sense, the end of summer. As I enjoy the peace and quiet of having the house to myself for the first time since May, I'm compelled to look back (and share) some photos of the terrific summer we had! It all started with a terrific trip to Colorado to see my brother graduate law school. Such as the Pueblo Cliff Dwellings! And for the $10/person ticket price for Florida re...

Gingerly Afflicted: From a City of Ghosts to a City of Zombies

Short Stories and Poems. Thursday, August 14, 2014. From a City of Ghosts to a City of Zombies. All I ask of St. Louis is to take a deep breath and really look at their city. Where is the place where people of different races and backgrounds can coexist? I just read this and am shocked that no one has seen the wisdom nor have they commented. September 15, 2014 at 8:45 AM. Life is about creating yourself, not finding yourself. Thursday, July 14, 2011. It's been a long time since I've stayed up late with my good friend, Wine. This is cherry wine that Dax made. It's pretty good, but it's still going to give me a headache. I'm getting sick too. Not sick sick, I don't think, just a cold. Just enough to make me feel sluggish and blah. The Jacobsons: August 2014
http://davidandsammy.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
I called my parents one afternoon in June and said, "We're buying a house. But we can't close until July 30th. Can I come there? Not only did my parents let me come spend almost 3 weeks in there house but they came and picked me up! Every time she'd go down the slide without floaties. It was so impressive that after just 5 days they all were swimming and even Lucy would go under water and kick. One afternoon we went to Pine Valley for some cooler weather. The cooler weather was a treat. I haven't been gr...

Short Stories and Poems. Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Memories of a Magpie. Note: This entirely too long post reminds me of a NewsRadio episode where Jimmy James takes a kid to court over a box of junk. Jimmy James: Tubal Cain. Judge: The court rules in favor of Mr. James and sentences the defendant to a month in a juvenile ward for psychiatric evaluation. Case dismissed. There are far more women, jobs, concerts, and women in big cities. You said women twice.). Then, I went to college. In hindsight, I ...
