Today we hit two wrecks and a range buoy with Rob, Anthony, Jeremiah, and me. We went out of Barnegat on Rob's 24' Grady White. The marine forecast was for 3-5' waves with winds at 8-10kts. It started a bit rough, but the seas calmed down nicely to a pleasant 2' waves and a pleasant breeze.

Dive buddies first NJ ocean dive - Algol from the Indy II. We stayed down for about 30 minutes or so before calling it. As was expected, John burned through more gas than he expected, but I told him this was perfectly normal for a first timer. Two dives gave us a run time of about 65 minutes. Two nice dives for two nice guys!

Wednesday, August 27, 2008. August Trip to California. I had this image in my head of La being very flat - but that wasn't the way I experienced it. Our flight out was on Wednesday morning. After a o-dark hundred departure from Newark we landed at LAX and picked up our rental car and headed the family off to Mindy's house in the hills. Up and up and around we went. The streets are relatively steep and narrow - Julie was very glad that I was driving. Julie insisted that I take a picture of Antonio's star.
