Doug Mockett and Angelica Fuentes are favorite veterans of this event. Last year's second place overall was bittersweet. This is their year! Paul Frame is back with his beauty 356! After a sobering and somber day due to the fatality of Javier Davalos, race cars left Oaxaca on Day two of race for a long day of many sections and several speed stages. The early morning mountain stages delivered damp and slippery road conditions causing Hayden's Cadillac to go off. Not the kind of damage that could keep him and Charlie from coming back to play. Party in Tehuacan always delivers a crowd! Tragedy on Day 1.

Some, like Tahoe, are pretty and touristy and have a life outside of gambling, But most of these towns are simply casinos in the middle of a desert. People are bussed in to work from neighboring towns because there is no residential sector to speak of. Just a casino or two and a hotel. Nothing to do but spend your money and eat and go see a show. What if I fail?
