The life of a wild woman. Friday, April 27, 2007. So today the bus driver must have watched a rerun of the Formula 1 last night. He was rounding corners on 2 wheels with 17 kids, a grandma, and me on board. But I think I need to teach him how to shift smoothly. He turns up the heat everytime I'm on so he can see me take my layers off. Do I dress for the arctic cold school (yes it is still cold in April) or the beach party on the bus? Here are a few photos from the last long weekend before I started studying on Okazaki. A group of us went to Kyoto for the weekend. The Gion Matsuri - one of Kyoto's most famous festivals - was on, so the city was packed. The crazy crowds looking toward the city shopping area. And across the bridge to Gion. Even the Colonel got decked out in the yukata.

After spending a long day at work, i went to the hahns' place for dinner. they had graciously invited kcf to come over for dinner, and it was eagerly accepted! We all sat around and got to know pastor sam and his friend cliff, and chit chatted til dinner. mmm, good eats are always had at that house! And eventually had to go cuz sam's son isaiah (whatta cutie! Was gettin' pretty sleepy.
