Back to the Drawing Board! The first three weeks have been a totally different experience for me compared to last year. For a start the assignments are a bit harder than last year and there is more emphasis on "do it yourself! I am really looking forward to completing the team project as I am in a team with Scott.

My Journey Through Design - by Chris Towell. Monday, May 12, 2008. The last two years seem to have flown by. It feels like only yesterday we were writing the blog for "Where did we come from? But now I feel a lot more confident than I did back then. Starting this course the only knowledge of web design was some code, no image manipulation knowledge and how to use Dreamweaver. Any website work I had done for previous courses had been in tables and minor. Throughout the course I feel that I have become mor...

Drew, Interactive Media Student. Thursday, May 10, 2007. My Reflection- something I never get tired of. First of all it is quite fair to say that I can’t believe how fast this year has flown by. It doesn’t seem like long ago at all that I was sat writing my statement explaining what I wanted to achieve on the course. I feel now I have broken the habit and in this past project I’ve really seen the benefit. My decision came down to Picking Guy Fawkes or Queen Victoria, my decision was based on these two pe...

Julian Dyer's College Blog: February 2007
http://jdyercollegeblog.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Julian Dyer's College Blog. Friday, February 16, 2007. Boring black bullets or little symbols of a globe, a money bag, and a mouse? I chose a 3 column design, and had the title spread across 2 columns, and the skyscrapers in the third. I also placed some black stroke lines in the folio, which has probably been influenced by the Graphic Language of Neville Brody book which I had been looking though for my presentation. Posted by Julian Dyer. Friday, February 09, 2007. I have decided that I fit into the Co...

HND - Interactive Media - Wakefield College. Tuesday, May 13, 2008. End of the Road. This past year has been a very mixed one for me. I have learnt so much in the space of 9months I would struggle to fit it all into just one blog post. I have picked out the assignments that I feel I have learnt the most from and will explain where that assignment has helped me develop my skills into what they are now, and also explaining some difficulties along the way. The team assignment was one of the biggest of the y...

http://andrew-ellis.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Drew, Interactive Media Student. Thursday, November 30, 2006. Wednesday’s session began with a talk about typography, after an immediate pretend that we were going to do a ten minute presentation. So, with a quick sigh of relief and a nervous laugh out of the way, I was quite pleased with the lecture subject. Following from the lecture we were given the rest of the day to work on our projects. Steve made a point that he expected us all to have our web content finished by Thursday; I had assumed that ...

Julian Dyer's College Blog. Wednesday, September 26, 2007. I learnt to design for the client, not yourself. CVs sent to prospective employers should be followed up with a phone call, as this shows enthusiasm. Dave Pannell believed the portfolio should include commercial pieces of work. Web and print pieces are needed to show a range of abilities. Posted by Julian Dyer. Wednesday, September 19, 2007. The team project has already thrown up a lot of challenges. The assigning of roles was very hard, espe...
