Limes, Lemons and Beautiful Yarn: A reason to cringe
http://beautifulyarn.blogspot.com/2013/11/a-reason-to-cringe.html
Limes, Lemons and Beautiful Yarn. Wednesday, November 27, 2013. A reason to cringe. Seriously, someone posted this on Facebook and it has actually been "shared" 5,500 times.gag me with a spoon. I can think of a thousand ways to finish this statement better than the one in the picture. Here's the first 10 in no particular order:. If we don't teach our children to follow Christ. 1 they can make the choice that is right for them when they are ready. 6 our children may thank us later. I read a lot of people'...

The Midwest Kid: The World Has Turned and Left Me Here.
http://themidwestkid.blogspot.com/2009/01/world-has-turned-and-left-me-here.html
Jan 1, 2009. The World Has Turned and Left Me Here. A few months ago I had made very specific plans for January 1st, 2009. I'm ranting. Back to the example of New Years Eve, but consider the statement above. I've celebrated the New Year a multitude of ways. However, in retrospect they all seem to be quite similar and rather insignificant. It usually involves mass quantities of booze and superficial strangers. So where is the celebration in that? Sadly, as we grow older, it seems "intoxication" is the only.

The Midwest Kid: Momentum
http://themidwestkid.blogspot.com/2009/03/momentum.html
Mar 11, 2009. Dear Readers, (the few of you). It's been a painless, short season for those of us here in the Midwest whom do little more than sit persistently in front of a computer screen or guitar amp and dream about extraordinary travels. Certainly don't feel that way. After all, time has become the most important factor in my life since the onset of the new year and I've become rather particular about how I choose to use it. Say "all I accomplished in 2009 was a birthday.". This blog was originally c...

The Midwest Kid: You're 100 Feet Off The Ground
http://themidwestkid.blogspot.com/2008/09/youre-100-feet-off-ground.html
Sep 29, 2008. You're 100 Feet Off The Ground. I work 84 hours a week. I have so much time to think. I want to move to a city. I want to live a lot of places. One day I will have traveled the world. I want my bike to work again. I haven't rode it in a week. I want to start out biking one day and decide not to turn back home. Working around dangerous equipment or high above the ground (really in any dangerous situation) I can't help but think of the worst case scenario, if only for a second. I'd like to bu...

The Midwest Kid: Why?
http://themidwestkid.blogspot.com/2008/09/why.html
Sep 19, 2008. Yesterday I fell in love with a band like I haven't fallen in love with a band in years. Today I was only able to listen to commercial country radio for 8 hours at my job. Yesterday I rode my bike along Michigan Lake at sunset and sat aside the shore with a charming and engaging girl. Today I rode my bike to the country to blow off steam but blew a tire two miles outside of town. Yesterday I could have caught a cab. Yesterday I ate one of the best chicken pitas I've ever put in my mouth.

The Midwest Kid: Fast Cars. Slow Sunday.
http://themidwestkid.blogspot.com/2008/10/fast-cars-slow-sunday.html
Oct 5, 2008. Fast Cars. Slow Sunday. Wind blows dust up from the ground. It forms mini cyclones. For a moment I wonder what wind would look like if it was a color. I kick some random kernels of corn in the driveway. This is fucking silly. Work on Sunday.". The things I could do with this afternoon. Junk, rides up on his bicycle. He's got a bucket of chicken. He's late. He smells like booze. Not fresh booze, last nights booze. Later he tells me about how drunk he got. I think, "no shit. Is this even real?

Limes, Lemons and Beautiful Yarn: Mealyworm is Not herself

Limes, Lemons and Beautiful Yarn: June 2012
http://beautifulyarn.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Limes, Lemons and Beautiful Yarn. Monday, June 25, 2012. My squash/pumpkins are growing! The cats are doing a great job of keeping the rabbits from getting to close to the garden. This is the spot where the Carrots and Radishes are growing. Watering and weeding isn't such a bad thing to do on a nice summer evening. The kids are really enjoying helping me with the garden and are eagerly awaiting "their pumpkins". HA! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Promote Your Page Too.
