ES PE-Mr. Murdoch. Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Welcome back to School! Hello to you all, I am Gavin Murdoch PE teacher for Grades 2,3 and 5 at Mont' Kiara International School. My family and I are from New Zealand and I have been teaching here since January this year. My wife is also a teacher in Kindergarten and we have 3 boys attending MKIS. That's me with the blue shirt on the left and Richard Hastings who also teaches Elementary PE on the right. Training will be Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

ES PE-Mr. Murdoch. Friday, February 28, 2014. Tee Ball, Softball and Fairness in Sport. I am writing this as Grade 2D, Grade 3 and Grade 5 come to the end of 3 weeks of tee ball and softball. Students have done well holding up in the heat outside on the fields. It is very important that they continue to drink water when they are exercising out in the sun and I am very conscious of reinforcing the importance of them looking after their bodies by drinking before and after sport. ES PE-Mr. Murdoch. Wednesday, September 3, 2014. We have started our Soccer unit outside on the field so we are now back in the heat. I am stopping students regularly and having them drink water. Students can forget how much water their bodies need to function when doing sport in the heat. Please encourage your children to have their water bottles and drink a little more than they feel like they need. Photos of Intramural sport below. Students practiced their balance on the slack line over the pool. Raft races are a fun way to get students to build their fitness. Grade 5 students in a raft race. More grade 3 girls.
