http://abbyline.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
FAQ about Teaching English in Santiago, Chile. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. You may have recently noticed that my posts recently have been fewer and far between. Like some other bloggers in Chile, namely Andrea. I feel as though I have nothing more to say about life in Chile, because it's no longer "life in Chile".it's just.life. I don't really like that idea though, because then if someone asked for the password and I didn't really feel like giving it to them I would feel bad. I think it's inevitable, ho...

FAQ about Teaching English in Santiago, Chile. Friday, July 30, 2010. He's cute AND domestic. Who doesn't like a guy who helps out around the house? He helps with the laundry. He helps make the bed. He helps me pack. He helps take clean the bunny's cage (he gets the hard to reach places). He even helps take care of the bunny. And last but not least, he cleans the tub (although maybe he should use more water pressure, and focus more on cleaning than on drinking the water.). Links to this post. Serves as y...

La Chica Mandita: Never cross a bunny
http://chicamandita.blogspot.com/2011/04/never-cross-bunny.html
Una animalita chicatita, escaped from her burrow and is now trying to make sense of all that she encounters. Domingo, 24 de abril de 2011. Never cross a bunny. Bunny across the road. There are no hot cross buns here. At least I couldn't see none. So, we made our own. I think they were a medium success. I followed this receta. By getting Flaite to read it out so I wouldn't get flour in the keys. In the end I don't think I put enough flour in as the dough was very sticky and batter-y and not so doughy.

http://abbyline.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
FAQ about Teaching English in Santiago, Chile. Wednesday, December 22, 2010. My time at home is going to fly by, and I honestly can't judge if I'll have time to sit down and write a post. I'll take lots of pictures though, and post when I get back. In the spirit of the the holidays, I leave you with some of my favorite Christmas carols. When I was little, I loved to sing. The only two songs that I like to sing (no matter the season) were this one:. And this one (but I always missed a stanza):. However, f...

FAQ about Teaching English in Santiago, Chile. Tuesday, August 31, 2010. Why Chileans should love bagels. So a few days ago there was a rumor going around that a certain Unimarc up in Las Condes had bagels. Why so special? I think that if properly introduced, Chileans would love bagels and here's why:. Looks kind of like a bagel without a hole, right? Well, maybe that's a stretch but it's still round. So anyway, Chileans like bread and what is a bagel? After, you guessed it, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, wh...

A friend posted this on facebook the other day and I just had to repost it here for anyone who needs a good laugh. Plus, it reminds me of a video we have of my sister as a baby laughing exactly like this baby at my uncle doing an impression of Donald Duck. This same sister who in less than three months is getting married and just sent me her engagement photos! Waaaaaahhh my baby sister is all grown up.

FAQ about Teaching English in Santiago, Chile. Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Knowing me, knowing you. There is nothing we can do. Knowing me, knowing you. We just have to face it; this time we're through. Breaking up is not easy to do, but I have to go. Knowing me, knowing you. It's the best I can do". Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus, Stig Anderson. Abby's Line: October 2010
http://abbyline.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
FAQ about Teaching English in Santiago, Chile. Sunday, October 24, 2010. Ever since I was a baby, I have gone to the same church with my family. It belongs to the denomination The United Church of Christ (UCC),. Which besides the Unitarian Universalist Church, may be one of the most liberal branches of Protestantism. Our services aren't as formal as a traditional Catholic mass, but they aren't the "Praise Jesus! I went with an open mind, and I was blown away. The best part was, though, by far, the people.
