Friday, August 27. Tuesday, August 3. Jesse's first quarter of a century is over! I can hardly believe he is 25. Although this is young to most, I keep thinking about how we met when we were 10! Sunday, August 30. We Hiked Pikes Peak! It was the first 14er I've ever hiked and Jesse's second. 13 miles, 6 hours and 40 minutes. Thursday, September 2. Jesse and I have been really missing Manitou. Especially the summertime in Manitou. If you ever have time to stop by with your family, it's a must visit. We can recommend quite a few amazing restaurants! Since Jesse and I moved to Castle Rock in April, we haven't had many opportunities to visit our old home. Fortunately, Jesse and I both had Wednesday off so we took a trip down with the dogs! Here are Rosy and Nelly enjoying a little entertainment from the street performer.

Sunday, October 17. Not to mention that we needed to be back for a very special event to which I will address later. First, here are a few pics of the drive! One of our many stops to let the dogs get some air. Playing fetch with the dogs. Lesson of this trip: don't hit Nelly in the eye. The hot springs we went to. Thursday, July 2. Jesse and I have made it our goal to make the most of Summer 2009. Although I am still working every other weekend, we are making sure to get out of the house and enjoy our community and the mountains around us when we have free time. So.here are a few pictures of our 2 hikes last weekend. The first hike was more of a walk, but one we've heard pleanty about from our neighbor. It's called Rainbow falls, or graffiti falls according to our neighbor. Then came the graffiti.

Tuesday, October 12. One of Jesse's and my favorite parts of living in Manitou was our weekly trips up the incline during the summer. This summer has been quite the opposite and we realized recently that we better make our way up the incline before it starts snowing! The pups loving the ride down to Manitou. Monday, February 14. First I must dedicate this post to my sister Becka, who casually told me that she checks my blog every day. Tuesday, March 29. Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who helped us move! It went much more quickly and more smoothly than we could have imagined. It actually was a lot of fun! First a big thanks the Abby, my mom and Avery for coming to help pack. Avery helped a lot as you can see. Some moving day, we were all packed and just needed the muscles to get everything down our three flights of stairs, into the uhaul and then into the new house. The Uhaul almost full. The moving crew taking a lunch break.

Tuesday, December 8. Christmas in Manitou is Magical. If you have never been to Manitou around Christmas time, come visit because it is beautiful! The trees and street lights of Manitou Ave are covered with lights and the stores are decorated with garland and all things Christmas.
