Tree Family: February 2012
http://ajtreefamily.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 28, 2012. For our 9-year anniversary (wow! J and I took a trip to Rome. We left Ally with family and spent a few days just wandering around, eating great food, and enjoying some time together before our latest addition to the family. We stayed in a nice hotel and took the subway everywhere. Rome has a great mix of old and new; modern buildings surrounding ancient roman architecture. Here is the Trevi fountain. Me with my pregnant belly, waiting at our subway stop. J at the arch. I reall...

Tree Family: August 2012
http://ajtreefamily.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 12, 2012. The oldest city in Germany, Trier has a lot of Roman ruins. This is the Porta Nigra, the only one left of seven gates that used to surround the city. This street performer was literally floating off the ground. I think his staff had some kind of support system built into it, but I was still impressed. The beautiful gardens at the palace. A replica of the foot, part of a statue. St Peter's cathedral, where the robe of Christ is kept. Cute little town of Vianen. There were all sort...

Tree Family: my husband's ridiculous metabolism
http://ajtreefamily.blogspot.com/2013/03/my-husbands-ridiculous-metabolism.html
Monday, March 11, 2013. My husband's ridiculous metabolism. Six weeks post-partum, (ok fine five weeks), I decided that I was ready to get back to normal and start working out again. Did I start out with something easy and work my way up? I have gotten so many comments from people about how great I look, and two of them have purchased Insanity because of me! I was recently asked to lead a group exercise for Relief Society activity despite my lack of leadership experience. My husbands ridiculous metabolism.

To bring the world the truth! Being an Individual in “the Lord’s Only True Church”. September 28, 2014. I think she told me at one point that I was being excessively serious about the Church. I gave that a lot of thought, concluding that she was probably correct. But I couldn’t shake the thought that where I’d be in the afterlife and who I would share that with depended on what I did with my church membership in the here and now. That seemed pretty serious to me. September 28, 2014. September 28, 2014.

Find one opportunity a week to serve someone. Blog once a month. My resolutions are specific and accountable. I have found that I do better and am more motivated with a schedule and goals. Tree Family: October 2012
http://ajtreefamily.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 6, 2012. We have a 4-year-old in the house! What can I say about my Ally? I used to think that parents had a little more control over how their children turn out but she definitely has her own personality. I tried so hard to get her into a preschool here, with no luck. She is way beyond kids her age academically, but needs more social interaction. For example, she reads chapter books but is not very good at taking turns with other children.
