BENDING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD: October 2011
http://motherhoodbend.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
On Becoming the Woman I Said I Never Be. October 9, 2011. It starts now. Scout has been in Kindergarten for about seven weeks. Adjusted beautifully, thriving and growing like crazy. I cannot keep her fed. I got a call the other day from her teacher, during the day. My heart raced. "She's okay, don't worry! I let out a sigh of relief. "Scout was on the playground when a first grader was chasing her. The boy said to Scout "I am going to kill you and your friends! Are you kidding me? Who is this kid anyway?
BENDING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD: SENSES
http://motherhoodbend.blogspot.com/2011/01/senses.html
On Becoming the Woman I Said I Never Be. January 18, 2011. Scout was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder. About 8 weeks ago. It started a while ago. we just thought she was being a pain in the ass 3 year old. I won't wear underwear. Or shoes that aren't tight enough. Or blankets when I sleep". Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD, formerly known as "sensory integration dysfunction") is a condition that exists when sensory signals. I started reading and tried to stay calm. BENDING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD: LUCKIEST
http://motherhoodbend.blogspot.com/2011/08/luckiest.html
On Becoming the Woman I Said I Never Be. August 30, 2011. Scout started kindergarten last week. She was ready. I think I was too. She is fiercely independent and gutsy. What I didn't expect was to be so damn tired. Sawyer is boding well with all the ladies in his preschool. He is one of three boys and has seven girls in his class. I believe he has more than one girlfriend. If I ask him who he played with that day, his dimples light up and he shyly says "Sarah! Sawyer bit me last week and left indefinite.

http://motherhoodbend.blogspot.com/2013/07/am-i-alone.html
On Becoming the Woman I Said I Never Be. July 12, 2013. It has been over a year (cough) or so since I posted. Scout, turns 7 years old tomorrow. Sawyer, turned 4 last week. My kids aren't little anymore. Scout completed the 1st Grade with a zeal that I never had as a student. She over-performs in everything she does academically. She is whip smart and bold, brave too. She is awe-inspiring and never stops talking. I feel alone. am I alone with these feelings? Scout is celebrating her birthday tomorrow, fa...
BENDING THROUGH MOTHERHOOD: April 2010
http://motherhoodbend.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
On Becoming the Woman I Said I Never Be. April 23, 2010. Scout woke up whining today. This is not unusual as of late. It has become part of her hobby. It pains me every time she opens her mouth. I fear out of it will come that shrill that sends me over the edge. I am uncertain as to why kids whine. I now "get" why my parents always said 'Stop the WHINING! It has come full circle. Happy Mom and Dad? I try to balance - though it is really hard. I mean, Scout can pee and eat by herself now. Scout is going t...

Motherhood At Long Last
Motherhood At Long Last. Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Getting Through the Day. Depression is a funny thing. It comes and goes, the ebb and flow is mercurial and senseless. Today it was related to being busy, busy, busy and also a kitten and also a non-standard day. But the odd thing was that I was surrounded by lovely people, one of my best friends stopped in to visit, and the kitten was rescued. Still that feeling of darkness, hopelessness, wanting to cry and nap, lingers. Two days ago she gave birth to th...

On Becoming the Woman I Said I Never Be. October 7, 2015. Because if you do you will miss it. I cannot believe we have a 6 and 9 year old. First and fourth grade? How does it happen? Just when I think I am going to fall asleep during dinner I look up and they are almost as tall as I am. We are so lucky. A few things I have learned:. Don't get a puppy. Just don't. You have enough going on. Instead of talking all the time - listen. Kids want to be heard. We are busy creating experiences rather than collect...

Motherhoodbeyond's Blog | Family Matters
A fabulous me, through my long lost friend OBAGI. Okay, after reading my latest blog, I figured… enough of these complaints, it is time to take charge of my life! After all, it is really up to me should I feel the need to change myself for the better. This is me, my body and my life, and I need to do something real soon or I’d end up feeling like I got whacked up in the head once again with looming doom. Ughh, I hate these feelings when they set in. I bought all the above mentioned system here in Jakarta...

Mother and Child
A forum for new mothers to share thoughts, ideas, stories, advice and much more. Sunday, August 12, 2007. I just know that someone is going to criticize me that I am not washing my son's hair. After all, what would you think if you constantly saw a child with oily hair. As I said before my son has a LOT of hair. The abundance of hair does cover some of the flakes in the scalp but the baby oil makes it look disgusting. Anybody else have any cradle cap stories or any other remedies that work?
