http://hairstonfacs.blogspot.com/2010/11/acorn-people.html
Mrs Hairston's FACS Class. Family and Consumer Sciences at Monticello High School. Saturday, November 13, 2010. My Orientation to Teaching class has a unit on diversity. During that unit I read aloud to the class. I love the book Acorn People. By Ron Jones is a wonderful story about a boy that works at a summer camp. When he signed up to work at the camp, he envisioned hikes through the woods and lazy afternoon by the pool. Is a really good book. Mrs Hairston's FACS Class. Mrs Hairston's FACS Class.

Mrs Hairston's FACS Class. Family and Consumer Sciences at Monticello High School. Sunday, October 17, 2010. End of the first 9 weeks. I've survived the first nine weeks! And since we are on block and I teach two "semester" classes, I have finished up two classes! I am finished with Food and Nutrition and Child Development. My students did well on the End of Course test. Arkansas CTE has set a goal of 70% of our classes scoring 70% or better on the test. 70% is considered proficient. I’m so excited!

Daniel Moose's Classroom: Firsthand Example
http://dmooseclassroom.blogspot.com/2010/12/firsthand-example.html
Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Yesterday, I subbed a half-day pm for a Special Ed teacher. Her afternoon consisted of four inclusion classrooms. Besides the fact that this meant that I did not have to do anything to earn my meager pay, I really enjoyed filling in for her because I got to observe three different teachers. A: cilia and flagella." In the end, each student had ten questions, one from each section. Posted by Daniel Moose. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Modest Proposal by Jonathan Swift.
