Trail and Amenities Map. Section 2 (.8 miles). Approximately 385 feet east of Aukerman Road the railroad grade encounters an unnamed tributary to Indian Creek. There is little remaining from the bridge that would have crossed the unnamed tributary at this point, however, the earthen and stone fill that formed the abutments is still in existence on either side of the stream. Trail and Amenities Map. Section 4 (1.4 miles). Another connection is possible with this trail section to the Dan Carns Trail of the Mountain Streams Trail System. This could occur at the southern end of the section by crossing SR 381 at a point about midway through the section via an existing trail. The abandoned Blair Brothers railroad grade in this section already exists as a trail, which is maintained by PADCNR (Pennsylvania Dept of Conservation of Natural Resources). Trail and Amenities Map. Section 3: (.7 miles). Some of the grade is actively eroding in numerous places due to storm. It appears that three bridges were formerly in this trail section in the general location of: 1) the power line corridor/pasture area, 2) across Indian Creek, and 3) across an unnamed tributary to Indian Creek. There is evidence that the rail bed is used for livestock and agricultural access with cattle crossings appearing between pastures. View other sections under development:.

Trail and Amenities Map. Section 1 (4.6 miles long). The elevation difference between Rt 381 and Felgar Road is 800 feet. Felgar and Skyview Roads are mixture of gravel and dirt roads. The other current option is to use the Mountain Streams Trail in Forbes State forest, crossing the turnpike on the new Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail Bridge.
