My family had a quiet New Year's Eve celebration marked with fun, new traditions, and to be honest, some disciplining.not so fun, but so important! Thursday, December 24, 2009. Often he fights with me about reading. He wants to read a book that is just seriously too hard for him, but since he saw Nate or Kyle reading it, he wants to read it. I mean, he's only four. He's not even in kindergarten. Okay, so a few days ago, I heard him getting all frustrated in his room about something. Ok, so I keep looking over there at these two young ladies……then, leaving Connie and Derk and Montana and Lisette and my boys and everyone else I was sitting with, I went over to them. OH MY GOODNESS! After many, many minutes of talking (again it went into 4 overtimes), we started talking about girl #1's 18. She said, “you would never go into a club.” I said, “girl, I’ve been in Vegas for a week! So, the game ENDED and I thought we were done!

Friday, May 31, 2013. We met some friends at the Audubon Trail for a little nature study. The kids climbed trees and logs, listened for birds when they managed to be quiet, and looked around. We stopped for some sketching in our nature journals. After our walk we had a picnic lunch in the park and all the children threw rocks in the river. Links to this post. Thursday, May 23, 2013. Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Sunday was a beautiful day, so I decided to take the boyz to do their converse photoshoot I'd been planning for a long time. Had the shoes all ready to go a couple of weeks ago, but then we had the Noah's flood reenactment. Soooo, here it is. I do have to say that I was the only adult during this shoot and managing 5 (FIVE! Really, it is a surprise ANY of these photos turned out, it would've been much funnier if I'd been shooting with a video cam ;). Trying out a new logo design.
