My Eccentric Sanity Blooms. Dare not to mess in my loopy-nutty-zany-esh world. Follow me on Twitter. Monday, March 30, 2009. New to my taste buds. After lunch today, Che (my office mate) brought out a big green mango from one of their Mango Trees at home. Sliced it into bite size. But since there's no available salt at our Pantry, she prepared Soy Sauce Sugar! It doesn't taste bad at all but still weird for me. Friday, March 27, 2009. Search for my Wedding Dress. For the record, Paul Vincent. Anyways, to...

Sweet Cherrie Pie: Espasol : Filipino Rice Sweet.
http://sweetcherriepie.blogspot.com/2010/05/espasol-filipino-rice-sweet.html
Espasol : Filipino Rice Sweet. Espasol is a Filipino sweet that is sold on the streets and is a local favourite. It is a sweet made of rice flour cooked in coconut milk. As with most sweets there are several ways of making Espasol. I added pinipig for extra rice flavour. I also added grated young coconut meat to give it another texture. 3 cups of ground rice flour, toasted in a dry pan. Set aside and cool. Toast the pinipig in dry pan then ground finely. Young coconut split in half. Reserve the juice.

Recipes and Reflections from PhD Foodies. Ode to Brussels sprouts. November 2, 2011. No, this is not a poem about the tiny cabbagehead. It’s a short note about this particular cruciferous veggie and how it had suffered injustice in the hands of too-eager cooks. Recently, this has been the case: Asian grad student (i.e., me), meet Brussels sprouts–Brussels sprouts (or in Dutch, spruiten), meet Asian grad student. Grad student goes “WTH is this tiny cabbagehead? This tiny veg has. Hence the smell and taste).
