For all those who come to this happy place, Welcome! Thursday, December 24, 2009. Dear Santa from Paige and James. This was Paige's letter to Santa this year. She had a tall order, and keep in mind this is one of several versions (some as early as September). I think next year we might limit her to the top 3 of her endless lists. James, on the other hand, just wants a dinosaur, easy peasy - this is one boy who won't be disappointed on Christmas morning. Links to this post. The next 18 years. I'd also lik...

For all those who come to this happy place, Welcome! Saturday, March 31, 2012. This is the start of our vacations - We arrived Friday night and started out Saturday morning with a hotel pillow fight. This is becoming a tradition that the kids love. I love James action shot - mid air. Elinor just looks like she's about to get a smack down. She is not one to take it lightly. She joins the fray. And here is the pretty girl ready for her Disney day. I love the piggy tails. Clue #1 - Where are we? Paige doesn...

It's a Shabby Thing: Out with the old, in with the OLDER!!!
http://itsashabbything.blogspot.com/2012/07/out-with-old-in-with-older.html
Sunday, July 1, 2012. Out with the old, in with the OLDER! The charms of a rental house. . . When we found a rental house that worked for us I had 2 stipulations. I needed to get the brown paint that was on the walls and ceilings painted over, and I HAD to replace the brass light fixtures with my own lights. So the brass lights are now in the attic and I had to find a great light for the foyer, without spending too much. I call her crystal and she is a great focal point to the entry of our home! Sunday, October 10, 2010. I Ah"door" this project! I got my room almost done and I have the perfect spot for some bookshelves. But honestly I do not have $350 for some nice shelves, so with one of my great doors from my salvage excursion. And some salvaged wood from old furniture I have had the inspiration to make some bookshelves out of it! Yes, a big project, but with proper planning I think I can pull this off for next to nothing. It will take resourcefulness, time, and a good plan. So here we go!

Friday, September 25, 2009. We had ourselves another fun little craft night for Fall Crafts. So I wanted to share all the great ideas with you all! Diannah made this great witches boot. I love it. She paid so much attention to detail that really made this craft so fabulous! It is made out of pine. It is 4 separate wood pieces that she also routed to smooth off the edges giving the craft and overall chunky feel. This spider on the star is super cute! April gave us these cute tags! And to protect the paper...

Sunday, March 21, 2010. Friday, March 12, 2010. It is hard to hear him because of how loud the class was but there was no way around that since all the kids were doing their thing at the same time. We went to the Western Mining Museum. While we were in Colorado. Small Bugz had a great time learning about all the things that mining does. This is what the miners would use for their steam. Then the miners were able to build bigger steam engines and this is one of them. Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Fun Crafts ...
