I've been quiet on the blog lately, busy with a few projects. Here's one of them, a scrapyard vehicle converted from Revell's T-72M1 kit. I'm backdating the Trumpeter T-72BA kit (mislabelled as a T-72B model 1990) to an earlier version, the model 1989. I've been focusing on the lower hull and upper hull front. Modelling Post-War Russian and Soviet Armour. 1/72nd and 1/35th scale Russian and Soviet tanks and other armoured vehicles. Tuesday, 2 June 2015. This is a fairly unusual vehicle, the SU-122-54. It's a resin kit from OKB Grigorov. And includes many fine details such as photo-etched parts, a turned metal barrel and clear resin items where appropriate. I finished it as a scrapyard / abandoned vehicle to give some variety to the plain green finish. 3 June 2015 at 02:40. Incredible work as always Alex!

Back in 1996 I managed to get hold of a very short-run kit from an early incarnation of the Ukrainian company ACE.
