Sea Biscuit, the boat, is named after the sea shell, Sea Biscuit, or Clypeaster Subdepressus. Sea Biscuit is in the same family as sea urchins, including spiny sea urchins. When dried out, it is remarkably like a seashell, but actually called a test. The material after death, which washes on shore, is very thin and fragile, but renders a beautiful and rare piece of art.

Sea Biscuit has seven different decks, typically separated by five or less steps. Older wooden steps to Boat Deck have been replaced with those below, made of maintenance-free starboard. Newer Dingy, below, with Steering Console (photo taken in shop where purchased). The Dingly also has a Garmin Chartplotter and Depthfinder mounted on the console. Below, the photos show the older appearance with Teak toe-rail - at the point where the sea stairs attach to the boat. They are placed on all three entry-ways.
