http://nami-nami.blogspot.com/2009/01/egg-white-cake-recipe-angel-cake-recipe.html
Friday, January 09, 2009. Egg White Cake Recipe (Munavalgekook). Have you been making ice cream or perhaps zabaglione recently? If yes, then you're left with lots of egg whites. Last weekend we had blackberries with zabaglione. At friends' place, and were left with 6 egg whites after that. K. had already made the most beautiful macarons for the New Year's Eve party (see Flickr photo set here. Where it had got good reviews. I decided to give it a go. 6 large egg whites. 250 g caster sugar. Whisk the egg w...
NAMI-NAMI: a food blog: Estonian Shashlik Recipe
http://nami-nami.blogspot.com/2010/06/estonian-shashlik-recipe.html
Friday, June 25, 2010. One of the dishes I really wanted to make again - and share with you - was the traditional Estonian-style " šašlõkk. Traditional side dishes would include freshly boiled new potatoes, a cucumber and tomato salad with some sour cream (but a coleslaw would work as well) and some ketchup :). Serves 4 to 6, depending on the amount of side dishes. 1 kg pork shoulder. 2-3 garlic cloves, crushed. 2 Tbsp vinegar (30% proof). 2 tsp finely ground salt. 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper.

Georgian times: Villem 5
http://ppirjo.blogspot.com/2014/02/villem-5.html
http://ppirjo.blogspot.com/2009/02/uks-uus-aasta-lubadus-taidetud.html
Üks uus aasta lubadus täidetud! Niinii. esmaspäeval, 2.küünlakuu päeval (Tartu rahu aastapäeval), kell 9:03 tuli New York University Tisch Hospitalis ilmale üks puhast eesti verd Kalevite kange mees. Nimeks on tal Villem Turk.
lobstersquad: A most unsual gin
http://lobstersquad.blogspot.com/2006/11/most-unsual-gin.html
A most unsual gin. Friday is the night for well-deserved relaxation and cheerfully tinkling glasses with ice and hard liquor, wouldn´t you say? We had two guests for dinner, and since they are as worshipful of a good gin and tonic as myself, I decided to honour the occasion with a bottle of the gin du jour. Honestly. How is it possible that a slice of cucumber can transform a whole glass? And that it doesn´t taste cucumbery so much as fresh and aromatic and cool? A god beginning for a week-end. 6:40 p...

GARDENERS' GASTRONOMY: September 2012
http://gardenersgastronomy.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Friday, 28 September 2012. Buckwheat Pancakes with hot, buttered walnuts. In Adelaide I used to love going to The Pancake Kitchen, which was open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It is still there and not much has changed, which is wonderful because some of their concoctions are superb. This was always one of my favourites, and is called “It” because it is the ultimate! 1 cup buckwheat flour. 188; cup 85% flour. 2 tsp baking powder. 2 tbsp raw /demerara sugar. 2 eggs, lightly beaten. 189; cup milk. About...

GARDENERS' GASTRONOMY: Gerda's Redcurrant Flan
http://gardenersgastronomy.blogspot.com/2015/08/gerdas-redcurrant-flan.html
Sunday, 9 August 2015. This recipe is from a dear, elderly, Austrian woman named Gerda. Measurements and wording are all her own…. I can hear her reciting it to me, in the beautiful way she spoke…. Prepare a pastry with two ounces sugar, four ounces butter and six ounces flour, a few drops of lemon juice and line a buttered and floured flan tin with this. Bake 'blind'. When baked, but still hot, cover thickly with red-currants, sprinkle with a little sugar. Pile the whipped egg white over redcurrants.

My Belly Dictates: October 2007
http://bellydictates.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Following the growls of my ever-hungry belly in Southern England. Monday, 8 October 2007. We went to Coco Rio on a gamble. Having walked past it once - it is in a back block behind the main stretch of shops on Bedford place, and in what seems to be a carpark - and noted its "African/Latino" tag, we thought it was a restaurant worth trying. And it certainly is. For starters, we all shared some grilled haloumi on a spicy pineapple salsa, which reminded me greatly of a favourite Vietnamese dish, char-grille...

Friday, November 24, 2017. Oven-roasted duck with plums and red onions. We love duck in our house. It's just as easy to cook as your regular Sunday chicken roast, but because it's less common, somewhat pricier and much bitter, it has a more festive feel to it. We don't cook duck for weeknight dinners, but for weekend roasts and entertaining at home, it's such a worthy bird. Here's a version I cooked a few times this autumn, trying to perfect it for a magazine photo shoot :). Ahjupart ploomide ja sibulaga.
