Nancy J. Burke. Dr Burke is an Associate Professor of Public Health and Medical Anthropology and Chair of Public Health at the University of California Merced. She is also a faculty member of the Department of Anthropology, History and Social Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Her research program spans three primary areas: 1 ). Cancer disparities and structural vulnerability; 2) Health Literacy in the US Safety Net; and 2) Cancer and chronic disease in global context.
