And whistling, of course: a glad sad mad remix. February 7, 2008. Posted by itsgladsadmad under FOs 2008. What am I kidding? It is nearly a week into February and I only just now have my first FO of 2008. If things keep rolling like they are, next year I’ll look back and laugh at myself for only having like five FOs in 2008. Yeah, well, I’m happy enough, so what. So here is that aforementioned FO…it is a mug cozy for my friend Anne. Pattern: Mug and French Press Jacket. And how cute is the button? 🙂 Can...

Sexy Knitters Club: Three Way Tie?
http://sexyknittersclub.blogspot.com/2008/05/three-way-tie.html
Let's join together to eliminate the misconception that knitting is for old ladies in rocking chairs once and for all! Saturday, May 10, 2008. Well, it looks like we have three patterns that all came in neck-in-neck! Should we have a three way KAL? Should we have a run off? Lemme know what you think! There is some interesting dialogue. Going on over on the SKC Ravelry group. Hop on over and join in the conversation. Saturday, May 10, 2008. I think all three should be included in the knitalong. I agree wi...

http://chicagopurl.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 16, 2009. We have hit the halfway mark. When did June pop up? Where did the first half of the year go? I'm still looking for it! In a couple of months my nuggets will be back in school! Its been raining most of this year (or snowing) so I'm praying for some warm weather to enjoy for a little while! Our hot weather sneaks in and out at random and it really drives me crazy! For my friends who have kids, are your kids' schedules more exciting than your own? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). To be be...

Friday, April 16, 2010. 1st Annual Beverly Hills Yarn Fest. Last Sunday was the 1st Annual Beverly Hills Yarn Fest. It's the first for the South Side of Chicago, and it was a huge hit! The event was orchestrated by Carol of My Sisters Knits. One of my favorite yarn shops in the Beverly area. (She's the one in the middle, and the other two ladies are her sisters :) ). This is now one of my favorites - the button soaps! These were done by Isaura Perez of Jabonero Blake soaps. Had some really cute pieces.

C h i c a g o P u r l: 100 knitting projects for 2010
http://chicagopurl.blogspot.com/2010/08/100-knitting-projects-for-2010.html
Monday, August 16, 2010. 100 knitting projects for 2010. The baby sweater I’m starting with is the Baby Yoda Sweater. It’s sooo cute to me and seems easy to do. I’m also trying not to buy anymore acrylic and stay more with natural yarns, so some sweaters will be created from my existing stash, and some will be some new additions to the stash. I’ll post pics soon. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Aim and Motto:. To be a virtuous woman - Proverbs 31:11-31. Kathy Eats Good Food - Eating Healthy.

C h i c a g o P u r l: Happy New Year!
http://chicagopurl.blogspot.com/2011/01/happy-new-year.html
Saturday, January 1, 2011. Strengthening my relationship with God. Spending more quality time with my family - doing something special at least once a month with all of us. Paying more attention to me - more caring and concern for me instead of forgetting about me. Get rid of my debt and tying up loose ends. Travel more this year. Finish my first novel. Read at least 1 book a month - for enjoyment not studying. Speaking of knitting, I promised to start my 100 projects in 2011 - AND I HAVE - YEAY! Glad to...

Sunday, November 8, 2009. What Have I Been Up To? Working like a Hebrew slave is what. I'm not complaining though, because there are a lot of people out here who have lost their jobs. I'm still working on getting to the next level of my life so continue to watch out for my progress :). There were two birthdays celebrated recently that I am sooo thankful for - my little nugget and myself! Here are a couple of pics of little nugget being the princess she is. And the beautiful cake made especially for her.
