A Bounty of Books. View my complete profile. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Dead Wake by Erik Larson. By Erik Larson is an engaging account of the sinking of the Lusitania. Using both primary and secondary sources, Larson tells the story from all sides. Once finished, the reader better understands not only what happened on board, but inside the U-boat that sunk her, as well as the broader historical context. Would simply be the name of another ship from a bygone era. Blogging for Books provided this book to me...

A Bounty of Books. View my complete profile. Friday, June 19, 2015. Detained by Don Brown. By Don Brown is a novel about a terrorist plot against the U.S. There are several moving parts, including a foreign-born member of the United States Navy, his father, two Navy JAG lawyers, the Judge Advocate General of the U.S. Navy and his wife, and several characters from the Department of Homeland Security. Honestly, there are too many main characters for any of them to be fully developed. The plot of Detained.

everything's fine: August 2010
http://everythingsfinekris10.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 9, 2010. Quality, not quantity. I spent this past weekend in Phoenix one last time before I head back to Rome visiting friends and my sister. Considering all that's going on at home with my mom and her health, I was really looking forward to getting away and spending time with friends I hadn't seen yet and more time with the sister. Tuesday, August 3, 2010. I have a new favorite TV show: Drop Dead Diva. Yep, Jane is overweight. And for Deb, this is close to her definition of hell. Ok, my o...

Friday, August 19, 2011. Sharing ones heart with another usually produces one of two reactions: a sense of freedom or absolute terror. Quite frankly, I more often than not fall into the terror category. Perhaps that's why I blog. It's easier for me to share what's going on with me in the blog-osphere than it is to actually have a conversation with someone about how I'm doing, feeling. What am I afraid of? What do I think will happen if I share too much or share what I am really thinking with others?

everything's fine: Feeling...and not enjoying it
http://everythingsfinekris10.blogspot.com/2013/04/feelingand-not-enjoying-it.html
Monday, April 8, 2013. Feeling.and not enjoying it. As I said in my last blog post, I've been trying out the whole online dating thing again. And this time, I've been talking, with some regularity, to a guy since the end of January. That's 2 and a half months of communication. In other words, my longest "relationship". everything's fine: April 2012
http://everythingsfinekris10.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 2, 2012. I have been convicted a lot over the last several months that I am not living as I should, that I am not the person that God most wants me to be. He and I have been having many conversations about the sin in my life- -the selfishness, the greediness, the overall junk that's keeping me from living out my full potential in Christ. It's a win, win situation! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Think on Such Things. Our heart for Hudson's heart. Life as an Egglet.
