A visual journal of our outdoor adventures in northern Minnesota. Saturday, September 27, 2014. This past Tuesday I loaded up the Trucker for my first bike camping trip in almost 2 years. My plan was to go to the Boulder Lake Environmental Learning Center. And stay at one of their free lakeside campsites. As this was just an overnight trip, I only used 2 panniers and a frame bag. The fall colors are coming along nicely. Ultimately, I found the view to be well worth having to listen to a little road noise.

Since I've gotten a bit behind on the coffee rides, I am going to have to start doing two a weekend to get caught up. Sunday morning was a bit cooler than Saturday, so I decided to take it indoors to Perk Place. Location: Perk Place, 1336 W Arrowhead Rd, Duluth MN. Beverage: Pumpkin Spice Latte with almond milk. Distance: 10 miles, which included a stop at the grocery store.

This past Monday, after waiting out the rain, I completed my ninth and final errand of the 2015 Errandonnee season. This last one was and easy one. A ride to the town hall to pay the water bill, the one errand I try to do by bike every month. Nine out of twelve isn't too bad. Should be worth an honorable mention anyway. Distance: 10.4 miles. 9 errands from 6 different categories.

The Vee Rubber Snowshoe XL 4.8 arrived yesterday and it is a very different beast than it's predecessor the Snowshoe 4.7. Unlike the Snowshoe 4.7, which was more like a real 4.0, the Snowshoe XL 4.8 is every bit a wide high volume tire. The tread is much more aggressive.
