New Zealand's most awesome places! February 2, 2016. February 4, 2016. The Tableland Circuit is a must do experience in Kahurangi National Park. The circuit creates a loop beginning from Graham Valley Road that takes you past a handful of Department of Conservation rock shelters. And some brilliant huts. There’s also a tonne of history in the area, with the Bishops pool, old water races, and more! The Tableland Circuit Track heading topwards Salisbury Open. Whio – The blue duck 🙂. January 25, 2016.

Te Araroa – Section By Section. Te Araroa Thru-Hike 2014-2015 Season. Day 44; Zero Day @ Pakiri Beach. February 17, 2015. Today we got up to get ready for the days trail walking and had no water at the cabins. Not so great. Oh well, we packed up and just set off across the wee bridge to the beach after letting the owners know. I’m not sure they really cared. We hired a couple of kayaks and went for a bit of an adventure up the Pakiri River for a couple of hours. It was very cool 🙂. Neil in his kayak.

Omarama Hot Tubs – Collecting Kiwi Treasures
https://collectingkiwitreasures.wordpress.com/2016/01/16/omarama-hot-tubs
New Zealand's most awesome places! January 16, 2016. Omarama Hot Tubs are a MAJOR treasure of mine. Anytime I’m anywhere near Omarama I always come here! Omarama is located between Lake Tekapo and Wanaka in Central Otago. The hot tubs are wood fired and you can control the water temperature by stoking it up with more air, or by letting in some cold water. Overflowing water drains to the nearby pond. You can get a wellness pod (which I always do) which includes a sauna room too! View from entrance area.

Te Araroa – Section By Section. Te Araroa Thru-Hike 2014-2015 Season. Day 46; Matakana – The Dome Cafe. February 17, 2015. This morning we were up super early for a taxi we booked for 7am to return to the track. It was a big day ahead so we wanted to get started early. The taxi man dropped us back where we left off yesterday, he was super friendly and chatted to us as we drove up. In fact, he told us that big bang we heard last night was a meteor – crazy business! We had our second lunch here and brewed ...
