Public art should provide enchantment, not Disney enchantment, but self-enrichment. It should feed the soul, capture the imagination and reveal a new understanding of our world. Any good art is going to inspire as well as provoke, Kovel says. Good art has an edge. It broadens the visual language. It forces a new vocabulary into our lives. Good art is not simply decoration.

Bill Grant 860.536.2126. Outdoor sculptures - each 50 to 62 feet in length. Kovel stands above his sculptures outside the Mystic Marinelife Aquarium. When is the exterior of a building not just a building? When it becomes it's own art gallery. Mystic Marinelife Aquarium became a venue for artist Kovel. Hanging on the west wall five huge sculptures adorned the building: fish swam across the 200 foot façade. See a photo diary of the installation process.

Oceanart Gallery is in Hibernation. We are away travelling at present so the Oceanart Gallery will be closed until we return. We are spending some time pursing other aspects of our life. Where time permits we will be collectng new images for the gallery for when we do relaunch after completing our journey. We are very much looking forward to this next phase of our life.
