From the Emerald Isle. Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Jason visits Northern Ireland. Jason came for a visit. We had a great time seeing new sites and visiting historical places. We went to Grey Abbey. There was an amazing cemetery. This is not too far from Portaferry where some of our ancestors lived. We enjoyed the nice weather and stopped at a beautiful beach where we had a great picnic lunch from the local chippie.pasties, hamburgers, fish, chips, chips, chips.and more chips! Inch Abbey in the Irish mist.

Birch and Linda: November 2010
http://birchandlinda.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
From the Emerald Isle. Saturday, November 27, 2010. Thursday was Thanksgiving so we picked up the McBrides. And headed down the motorway to the Finglas. All the senior couples were there and we had a wonderful time socializing and sharing mission experiences. The food was great! It's nice to be with others that are doing the same thing we are! After dinner we went across the street and caught the bus to downtown Dublin. Dublin is a fun city. It was a beautiful, crisp day! We were able to go with a YSA.

http://birchandlinda.blogspot.com/2012/02/florida.html
From the Emerald Isle. Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Before flying home to Minnesota we decided to spend a week in Florida with our family there. It was so fun to see the kids again. We sure had fun playing with the kids. The highlight of the trip was the blessing of little Tylah. We were so glad they waited for us to be there. She is just a little doll! We always enjoy sunset at the beach. We enjoyed watching Shaylyn dance in her dance class. She loves to shake, shake shake! One day we went miniature.

Birch and Linda: June 2011
http://birchandlinda.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
From the Emerald Isle. Wednesday, June 8, 2011. One Monday in May, we headed north with the zone leaders, Elder Barton and Elder Jones. They don't get a chance to see much of the country so we packed a picnic lunch and away we went. We were in for a surprise.rain and 70 mph winds! Scattered with a little sunshine! When we got to the Mussenden Temple it was so windy I stayed in the car and enjoyed the beautiful hedges of wild roses. The sea was completely churned up! It holds 12 cars. View of the bay.

The Bohne Studio: Because I'm a Phoenix
http://bohnestudio.blogspot.com/2011/02/because-im-phoenix.html
Friday, February 25, 2011. Because I'm a Phoenix. At the end of Michael's Spring 2009 classes for school, he decided that he needed to take a break because his job was becoming very demanding. We are talking demanding as in working 50-55 hours a week if not more. It was great. Pay but he was having trouble making it to his classes that were in the early evening. So he decided that until he could put the effort into school he needed to take a break. I must admit, I was a little confused.). All or most of ...

Birch and Linda: August 2011
http://birchandlinda.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
From the Emerald Isle. Friday, August 12, 2011. On August 8th we went on an outing with Julie McNally and Lynda Ross. They wanted to take us to see Silent Valley in the Mourne Mountains. It was the perfect day as we headed to Newcastle and started up the mountainside. I just love the stone fences and these are the best we have seen in Ireland. Mountains on one side, the Irish Sea on the other! The Mourne Wall took 18 years to build and goes for twenty two miles through the mountains. United at the top!

Birch and Linda: October 2011
http://birchandlinda.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
From the Emerald Isle. Friday, October 21, 2011. We had our last district meeting. We can't believe it's our last. We love these young sisters and elders. They are amazing missionaries and we have enjoyed serving with them. We had a fun "Farewell" party in Portadown Saturday night. The ward was wonderful and they had so many fun things planned and prepared. There was a great turnout. The whole ward was there, even a few less-active and non-members. Jacob and Helina drew this picture of me with my sheep.

Birch and Linda: Germany
http://birchandlinda.blogspot.com/2012/01/germany.html
From the Emerald Isle. Monday, January 9, 2012. After leaving England we flew to Frankfurt Germany. We loved the quaint German villages and the fun shoppes! This is a small village near Munich. After leaving Frankfurt, we drove through the countryside on our way to the little village where Birch lived when he was 14. We stayed at the Holiday Inn in the mountains. View from our balcony. The fall colors were beautiful. The building Birch's family lived in. Peeking in the window of his old home. It was a fu...

Birch and Linda: September 2011
http://birchandlinda.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
From the Emerald Isle. Wednesday, September 21, 2011. For prep-day this week we took the elders from Antrim and Bangor up the Antrim coast. They were pretty excited to go on a field trip! It's fun to see them as "boys".they act so different than when they are dressed as missionaries! They all crossed the rope bridge and then we went to the giant's causeway. We stopped at Dunluce castle. Another beautiful day on the Antrim coast! We enjoy our association with these wonderful young men! We stopped at this ...
