Bob White, Ed Arthur, Jim Garvey, Roger Holbrook, Charlie PJ Coulter, and Ted Mosure, all Vietnam combat veterans, had regularly been meeting for informal lunches to reminisce and discuss issues of the day. The nominee must have either been born in the State of Ohio or conscripted into service from the State of Ohio. The nominee must have been awarded a U.S. military medal for valor.
