All good things need to end | SIX KNOTS
https://sixknots.net/2015/06/27/all-good-things-need-to-end
Dream it. Do it! Skip to primary content. All good things need to end. June 27, 2015. Monday we have bid our farewell to Kilda convinced that we would be back quite soon. We had great time circumnavigating the island and revisiting Boreray and the stacks on board of the Elisabeth G. Then it was the infamous long crossing back to the mainland Harris. There, we met Mike from the Graphix again. And later the rest of the crew in the Anchorage for some much need steaks. We crossed towards Loch Pooltiel on Sky...

Nigel Armstrong's Blog. Saturday and Ron Kitching CTC Sportive from York. Brimham Rocks then West Bay and Back 200 Audax →. Housing Bubble – and Audax UK. OK, I cant think of a link between my title phrases so this blog is in two parts. No housing shortage, I dont see people living in tents, caravans or converted containers up here. – plenty to buy and rent. Houses are not ecconomic assets, they dont enable you to create wealth, they only enable those that have wealth to store that wealth and take it out...

Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino! I dunno why anybody's doing this'. Sunday, 10 May 2015. Duathlon Doo', 'Triathlon Tim' call me what you like I've had a swim. This week I thought I would write out a basic training plan (below) and see if this would help motivate me. Monday was also the day that I paid £40 to enter the ballot for a place in the London 2016 Marathon. Do I really want to do this? Wednesday was a great day. On Wednesday, sticking to my plan, oh yes, I swam! Friday and my plan went to pot....

Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino! I dunno why anybody's doing this'. Saturday, 25 April 2015. BikeRun.Bike.Run.Fail. On reflection, the past week wasn't so bad on the training front. Well, it started well but just ended a trifle pants. Hmmm. Monday was a bicycle commute to work and back. On my trip to work I cycled a stretch I had never cycled before and indeed there be dragons! On my return I nearly killed a few folk because despite my bell ringing they just didn't want to move out of my way. If I was cer...
Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino!: No PBP. Another PB. A forest. Training for the olympics.

Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino! I dunno why anybody's doing this'. Saturday, 18 April 2015. No PBP. Another PB. A forest. Training for the olympics. Today I did not ride my planned PBP 300k qualifying event. There went my plans for PBP. Not to worry, I successfully completed same in 2011. I've got the medal. I haven't got the shirt though because I gave that to Chris. Phil Brown was running today too which was nice. He also achieved a PB and felt I had inspired him to do so. SJ running the London Marathon.
Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino!: June 2014
http://challengemenace.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino! I dunno why anybody's doing this'. Saturday, 28 June 2014. Did not post anything over past couple of weeks because I was away on my family holiday. Had a lovely time in Charmouth despite not riding a bike at all! Managed to complete a series of 5k runs, however, as depicted by the GPX track logs below. I dunno, but will post about same somewhere in time. Whilst away, I also swam a little. Oh, I did enjoy my holiday! Sadly, work resumes next week. Friday, 13 June 2014.
Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino!: December 2014
http://challengemenace.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino! I dunno why anybody's doing this'. Wednesday, 31 December 2014. Lunar supporting Doo's Rapha challenge. Started this week with a lengthy commute - my regular commute with added k's to dig deeper into my Rapha Festive 500 challenge. How irritating it was that I had to work 12 hours before I could pedal home on this commute. Brr, it was starting to get cold too! Rapha ride 4 with The Phantom. Tuesday was just as cold as Monday! 3 pairs of socks and my feet still felt cold...

Long Distance Cycling the Easy Way. Easier Long Distance Cycling. April 13, 2015. I had trouble getting to hall thanks to railway closures, so no photos from me: the phone battery was used up checking timetables. We were due good but windy weather for the day by the weather men. So perhaps I shouldn’t have been surprised to roll off at 6am in moderately heavy rain. After the rain stopped the end of the first easy section was quite relaxing. Coffee pie at Builth. After the various climbs of the Tregaron m...

http://challengemenace.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino! I dunno why anybody's doing this'. Friday, 29 August 2014. Badger cooling and the Stroud 5 Valleys. Started the week by going for a blast around the AM SR 1 route. Had been ages since I last cycled this route and it re-reminded me what a great loop it was. Kay-O, my single-speed road bike was my weapon of choice. I had almost forgotten how awesome she was too - even better now she is equipped with a dynamo hub and front light. Well, guess what . Sure enough, I found one wi...

Tim Tom's Time To Think Turino! I dunno why anybody's doing this'. Friday, 27 February 2015. Snowdrops and such like. Saturday was a great start to my week (in 2015, all my weeks start on Saturday). Old Bats Music
Bonnie: Kay Crawford and I began our songwriting collaboration in 2004. Kay: Has it really been that long? Bonnie: Yes. Remember we were at a church in Phoenix and the pastor gave us a prophetic word that we were going to write songs together. I was thrilled, because I was already convinced this was going to happen, and desperately needed tunes for my lyrics. You however, had a look of utter horror on your face, not to mention skepticism? There goes a wonderful friendship right down the toilet! But still...
