Metoidioplasty: A Journey Of Not Quite Epic Proportions. Ok, so it happened. On February 8, 2011. Surgery happened, finally! Everything went fine and 22 hours later, I am not in much pain. Aside from my anesthesia-related nausea, I’ve been just fine. I’ve been sleeping a lot, but when I’m awake I’m alert and able to use the computer, chat with my friends, etc. I did get up to take a walk around the room, which was easier than I expected. Aside from the getting up/down part, the walking/waddle was fine.
