the sunday project....: Reduction linocut - first colour....
http://the-sunday-project.blogspot.com/2012/05/reduction-linocut-first-colour.html
Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Reduction linocut - first colour. Ok, so there's not much to see after the first printing, but that's just the way it should be. My image is made up of 6 tones, so it was important to get the first one a really light shade. I've managed to create a lighter shade in this layer by lightly hatching the lino with a fine cutting tool. You can see the lino here. I've recut my lino for tomorrow night's class. Stay tuned for the results. Posted by Alex Sunday. View my complete profile.

the sunday project....: Coco!....
http://the-sunday-project.blogspot.com/2012/04/coco.html
Wednesday, April 4, 2012. I had to add a post because I hate the photo in the last post. The colour of the shellac against the tiles - blurgh. So I thought I'd post a photo of something beautiful, and what could be more gorgeous than my little Coco? This was taken about 6 weeks ago and I'm sure she has a tiny bit more hair now. Growing hair is not her strong point. Being adorable is (most of the time). :). Posted by Alex Sunday. April 4, 2012 at 4:16 PM. She is so dang cute! April 5, 2012 at 12:09 AM.

Christobel: Bread in Common
http://christinelovitt.blogspot.com/2013/10/bread-in-common_8.html
Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Gordon Street Garage has a rival - the newly opened Bread in Common on Pakenham Street in Fremantle. It is along similar lines - a converted warehouse, carefully fashioned to maintain the industrial feel and with its own wood fired bakery overseen by none other than the amazing german baker from Yallingup Wood Fired Bakery. It's very Melbourne - and the coffee is great. Labels: Bread in Common. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Have a look in my Etsy shop "Christobels".

Christobel: November 2012
http://christinelovitt.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 26, 2012. I drive past the Perth Arena on my way to work. In the beginning I absolutely hated it - it looked like something from outer space had crash landed on the site. As the weeks turned into months and I watched it take shape I began to warm towards it, but now that it is finished I have to admit that I really like it. I think Perth needs this kind of creativity - even if only to polarise views and opinions. Monday, November 19, 2012. Labels: old atlas pages. Cantina, Mt Lawley.

They create breath-taking surface pattern and textile design for fashion and interiors and I have no doubt you'll see their work in your daily life before long. Posted by Alex Sunday.
