Ruby XML Parsing Benchmarks
http://www.depixelate.com/2008/04/23/ruby-xml-parsing-benchmarks
Ruby XML Parsing Benchmarks. Benchmark. Benchmark. Benchmark. I had heard it a million times. So rather than just blindly. Was faster than REXML. For my next project I whipped up a quick benchmark. Wow - at least with the type of XML data I’ll be working with, REXML is massively faster. See the full benchmark code. See update below…. Commented with a nice diff showing a much cleaner way to use Hpricot which makes it much faster than REXML! Here is the new benchmark code. I work at TaskDock.

Monday, 9 July 2007. Ssh segmentation fault osx. Every time I install an update on my MacBook it breaks ssh. Up until now I'd been using Pacifist. To extract and reinstall the Kerberos Framework from the 10.4.8 update. As per these instructions. I'm now having to do this on a regular basis which is very annoying and. I'm getting concerned that replacing Kerberos with an older version is introducing security holes. so I've decided to install Fink. And openssh instead of using Apple's ssh.

Wednesday, 23 May 2007. Improve Default Rails Database Performance. Active Record (AR) is slow. All that nice reflection comes at a price. You should use AR to prototype your app, then take a look at the logs. 1 Sort your development log. If a database query is only run a few times, let AR handle it. If one is being run a 1000 times then we should pull it out and tweak it. 2 Pull the SQL from the log. Rails has already done the hard work for us, right? 3 Tweak the SQL. Links to this post. https://thillerson.wordpress.com/2007/06/07/the-flex-show-part-2
A Hill of Beans. It doesn’t amount to much, but it sure is fun. The Flex Show Part 2. I’m a day late, but the second part of my The Flex Show. Interview on Flex with Rails is up here. We finished up talking about REST, talk about FDS a little more, about some of the key concepts of Rails, and then about DHH’s. I plan on blogging more about my answer to DHH later, but for now, have a listen to The Flex Show. Laquo; Project San Dimas Update. Date : June 7, 2007. Отличная статья Спасибо огромное.
