Using facts to defeat poor opinions
A desperate state of affairs | Not the Daily Mail
https://oppositethedailymail.wordpress.com/2013/09/27/a-desperate-state-of-affairs
Not the Daily Mail. Using facts to defeat poor opinions. A desperate state of affairs. Today I read the incredibly sad story of Bella Hellings. Bella was a three month baby who died after suffering a seizure in March. Unfortunately it took 26 minutes for paramedics to arrive on scene due to a number of wholly preventable issues. The fault of these issues lies squarely at the feet of the trust rather than the individual paramedics. Now I don’t know what vehicles East of England run and I don’t...There sho...
A plea to all employed in the public sector | Not the Daily Mail
https://oppositethedailymail.wordpress.com/2013/10/02/a-plea-to-the-all-employed-in-the-public-sector
Not the Daily Mail. Using facts to defeat poor opinions. A plea to all employed in the public sector. A comment in a recent blog post got me thinking. The conservative party is promoting infighting between each sector of those in public service, and as a result sniping and bickering is readily happening as to ‘who has it worse’. This bickering is allowing the cuts imposed on the public sector to go unnoticed and remain ignored while each group fights with each other. This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

Not the Daily Mail. Using facts to defeat poor opinions. The Daily Mail show their colours. The recent offence taken by Ed Milliband over the Daily Mail article written about his Father has shown the political elite what I, and many others, have known for some time. That the Daily Mail is a paper that happily distorts whatever it wants. The Daily Mail, among others, have written these types of articles about public servants for years and have suffered no ill effects for any of them. And tagged Daily Mail.

Not the Daily Mail. Using facts to defeat poor opinions. How can Tom Winsor look at himself in the mirror? Apparently this is the ‘ceremonial uniform’ of the Chief Inspector of Constabulary, which Tom Winsor now is. To me, and to many others, this is the uniform of a Chief Officer of a UK Police Force. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. And tagged National Police Memorial Day. September 29, 2013. A desperate state of affairs. Why talking about Winsor’s uniform is important. →. Tales from the Metropolis. An insiders view of Metropolitan life and.er.stuff. Views expressed in the posts are mine and I doubt they reflect official policy. Thursday, December 28, 2006. Ten Nine. Eight.". The New Years 'celebrations' in Central London have always provided the Met with a logistical headache trying to accommodate those who are drawn like lemmings to the cliffs of Westminster Borough to 'see in' the next year. In my little section of the Metropolis. celebrations in the problem local, ...

Tales from the Metropolis. An insiders view of Metropolitan life and.er.stuff. Views expressed in the posts are mine and I doubt they reflect official policy. Sunday, July 29, 2007. Do you think anyone will notice? TUPC has already Posted on the Mail on Sundays 'expose' of Met personnel placing picture's/Vids on the new Facebook phenomenon. My 10 pence worth. However, said antics/comments placed on a public accessed site are not wise. They said they wanted some reality. Posted by Officer Dibble at 4:26 PM.

Tales from the Metropolis. An insiders view of Metropolitan life and.er.stuff. Views expressed in the posts are mine and I doubt they reflect official policy. Tuesday, May 29, 2007. The Drawbridge slowly rises. Our Leaders are clearly worried that there might be those out there in the populace who have the potential to cause them harm. I often find it amusing when there are reports in the Media that a 'team' of officers are investigating an offence. Stalking' jobs are usually dealt with at Borough level.

Tales from the Metropolis. An insiders view of Metropolitan life and.er.stuff. Views expressed in the posts are mine and I doubt they reflect official policy. Wednesday, August 22, 2007. A sad case of Finger Buffet yobbery. Well what about this space filler. Apparently on arrest he was found to be in possession of a slice of Quiche and a chicken drumstick. CPS decided to let this remain on file(which sounds very unhygienic). With my cynical goggles firmly perched on the end of my nose. Mum aims to tug at...

Brief memoirs from the Front.office. Tales from the Metropolis. An insiders view of Metropolitan life and.er.stuff. Views expressed in the posts are mine and I doubt they reflect official policy. Monday, January 29, 2007. A traditional British invention. We as British Citizens are apparently known for our patience, adaptability and tolerance. Our tolerance is frequently tested these days but by and large we adapt and overcome. We accept queues and waiting lists in our stride. Would this lead to situation where knowing at some point they wil...

Tales from the Metropolis. An insiders view of Metropolitan life and.er.stuff. Views expressed in the posts are mine and I doubt they reflect official policy. Monday, March 26, 2007. Keys to the Kingdom. I have become somewhat numbed by the stories emerging from the Home Office and its agencies. More often, reality overtakes parody with what the 'think tanks' and 'blue skies thinking' policy units come up with. However even I was a little taken aback by this. Damned if we do.damned whatever we do. Tales from the Metropolis. An insiders view of Metropolitan life and.er.stuff. Views expressed in the posts are mine and I doubt they reflect official policy. Thursday, February 22, 2007. Oh my Early Turn blues. I was wandering through the office clutching my first cup of tea of the day when I was summonsed by the boss to attend his office. My heart sank.I hadn't even logged on for the day and grief had landed on my lap. As I went to my desk and opened up the docket.my mind started to drift. If you had a...

Just another WordPress.com site. No proselytizing. Sustainability…and beyond! August 22, 2012. Dear friends, family, people reading this though I might never meet them,. It’s been a long and bumpy ride, but we’ve finally arrived: nowhere. The entrance to the “Carriage Run” townhouses. Almost two months after being back, two particular phenomena continue to dominate my experience here: 1) all the love in the world from my family 2) blatant aversion to change.
