Accidentally in Love: April 2013

http://taylor-family-blog.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

I am…An Encourager. But I am SO much the same way.  As any of my semi-close friends will tell you, do NOT come to me with a problem unless you want me to try and fix it.  Katelyn. Probably has to endure this more than anyone I am around because unfortunately for her, she likes to tell me her problems from time to time.  I guess by now, she’s figured out that if she’s going to share, I’m going to fix. However, along with being a fixer, comes encouragement.  My friend, Julie. Labels: Getting to know me.

Accidentally in Love: June 2013

http://taylor-family-blog.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

This is my happy place…. My lifegroup from church. I love these people. They, collectively, make up my happy place. How did 12 years pass already? How did this chunky monkey…. Turn into this beautiful young woman? 12 years ago today, at the moment this post is set to publish, this girl came busting into our lives and they have never been the same. Jenna is getting close to being as tall as I am. She is wearing the same size shoes as me and she’s turning into a wonderful young woman. I love that Kylie lik...

Accidentally in Love: The End and the Beginning

http://taylor-family-blog.blogspot.com/2014/02/the-end-and-beginning.html

The End and the Beginning. Well, I thought I was done blogging about the beach vacation we had last July/August, but there’s just a few more words left in me. The funny thing is that as I wrap up last year’s vacation, I am booking this year’s! We thought we’d go back to Pensacola Beach but we are gypsies when it comes to vacation spots. I always wanted THAT spot that we always went back to year after year but even when we find somewhere we love, the next year, we want to try something new. We made the mo...

Accidentally in Love: Book Review: Love & War Devotional for Couples

http://taylor-family-blog.blogspot.com/2014/06/book-review-love-war-devotional-for.html

Book Review: Love and War Devotional for Couples. Having recently celebrated 18 years of marriage to Steve, the reminder for me to do this book review came at the perfect time! I just brought home my little girl from LYG in March 2014. I was scrolling through your blog and I think our girls had the same foster parents! I received many, many photos and a whole set of her foster family. I would love to contact them.do you have a contact address for them? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Five of My Own.

Accidentally in Love: Ah Summer…

http://taylor-family-blog.blogspot.com/2014/02/ah-summer.html

The weather has been crazy this winter and so we are already planning our beach vacation for the summer. Silly, maybe, but it’s getting me through these long, dreary, days! Let me stop here and give a huge shout out for the condo we stayed in. Our good friend Will B. recommended it as somewhere his parents had stayed recently and it was very economical. The pictures on the website. The weather for the day we selected was perfect and it was even a good hair day (to start with) for me. But yes, the thing n...

Accidentally in Love: County Fair (2013)

http://taylor-family-blog.blogspot.com/2014/03/county-fair-2013.html

This year Kylie was old enough to understand and enjoy the animal part of the fair, so that’s where we started. This little farming area was great fun for little ones. Plus, it was hot as the blazes outside and this afforded us a tiny respite from the heat. This cracks me up. What’s funnier than a little Asian girl milking a cow? I love Jenna in the corner of that picture! That really tells me how hot it was! Glad you had fun. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Cat, Dog, Baby blog. Five of My Own. Let&#...

Accidentally in Love: March 2013

http://taylor-family-blog.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

I’ll be back soon with some posts about our Easter festivities.  But for today I just want to stop and contemplate what Easter really means. It’s not about the Easter bunny, coloring eggs, big lunches, egg hunts or dressing up in new clothes, though all of those things can be a enjoyable part of your Easter tradition. It is about the fact that Someone loved you (and me) so much, that He quite literally took a beating for us and ultimately laid down His life for us. On Gotcha Day…. I have made several int...

Accidentally in Love: Approximately 731 day ago…

http://taylor-family-blog.blogspot.com/2014/03/approximately-731-day-ago.html

Approximately 731 day ago…. Gotcha Day, March 2012. And this sweet baby girl changed our lives forever. I’ve said it before, and I will say it again…adoption is not for the faint hearted. From the outside looking in, it looks so happy and rewarding and it is. More than you can even wrap your mind around. But sometimes getting there is hard. Painful. EXHAUSTING. And terrifying. It was all those things for us. But asked if I’d do it again…the answer is a resounding ABSOLUTELY! Cat, Dog, Baby blog.

Accidentally in Love: Introducing...

http://taylor-family-blog.blogspot.com/2011/08/introducing.html

We got our PA (pre-approval) today! And that means the China adoption authority has tentatively approved us to adopt Lian Yingbei. Now, they will begin to really review our dossier in depth and we will wait for the LOA (letter of acceptance)! So, without further ado. Her middle name will be pronounced 'Leigh Ann' (shout out to LAS and LAM! About baby names and meanings. I typed in Lian to see what I could find and that's when we happened upon Liann. And we knew we'd found it. Christy (aka out4abit on RQ).

Hopeful Hearts - Our Journey to Eli

Tuesday, February 23, 2010. You've got to be kidding me. They let my insurance person know before letting the parents know. And then, as if that isn't enough to make me see red, when Eli calls tonight, he is jumping for joy because they had been hyping it up to him all day that he was going home tomorrow. They had the absolute NERVE to discuss this with a 6 year old child, but couldn't tell me that they were discharging him? And you know why? Monday, February 22, 2010. Well, by 4 pm I received a phonecal...

Our Journey to Ella Claire. Saturday, February 6, 2010. So Here's the Story. Ella is a climber and jumper - always has been. Earlier in the evening she had jumped off a chair. We told her to stop. that she was going to get hurt. I'm going to totally avoid the comment that maybe she doesn't understand English. On with the story.not 15 minutes later she came to us crying! AND with her arm dangling and a bone poking out. It was awful! We felt so sorry for her. Afterwards the doctor came out and said all wen...

July 10, 2015. The month of June has been absolutely crazy for us! We just got back from our trip to Disneyland and we all had so much fun! We can’t wait to go back soon! Two teenagers and a 14 month old in a tiny little car for an 8 hour road trip? We managed to survive the drive and enjoy the magic that Disneyland had to offer. Seeing Haven meet the characters was the highlight of my entire life. She melted my heart when she met Minnie. Thanks for stopping by!
