Wednesday, June 29, 2005. Now we're getting to the best pictures. The next part of our trip was in Northern Vietnam, where the landscape was much more interesting, but the food wasn't as good. We flew from Saigon to Hanoi and took a bus out to Halong Bay. For those of you who have never heard of Halong Bay, rent the movie Indochine. Wednesday, March 30, 2005. My Experience With Anesthesia and Analgesia. I had four wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. Three of them were pretty easy to get out, but the fourth one, the one on the right lower side, was actually turned sideways pushing into the tooth in front of it. Thursday, May 26, 2005. I think it's best to write about food now, because the other experiences in Vietnam are best told in pictures (and I haven't uploaded the pictures yet). This one's great. They will definitely be on my best-of list for this year are likely to be two of the best albums of this decade. Interestingly, they both fit into some sort of "classic" genre. Wednesday, August 24, 2005. I went to the DC area last weekend to visit my friend Bill, who recently relocated there. He's currently a second year general surgery resident at Bethesda Medical Center. The pictures unfortunately only come from Sunday, since I spent most of Saturday drinking.
