Panorama High Street East. Celebrating the 6km road through Whitechapel, Mile End and Bow. Each of the 500 buildings along the 6km route of High Street 2012 has been researched in depth to compile Panorama High Street 2012. This impressive feat of archival and on site research was undertaken by a dedicated team of over 30 volunteers. The volunteers each researched a 150m stretch of the High Street, and then went on to conduct in-depth research into the buildings they considered significant.

About Studio Jon Spencer. East London explored with a panorama taking in 600 buildings across 6km from Aldgate to Bow presented as an interactive resource that allows the viewer to explore the history and experience of this important road in East London. I was responsible for the photography and the photoshop work required to assemble them into usable strips of a block or two at a time (see adjacent images), which were then assembled into the final website. This was a Building Exploratory.
