Art, media, opinion and ideas. Sample letter to refuse permission for a child’s data to be transferred into POD. June 15, 2016. The Department of Education has issued a new circular accepting. It cannot defund the education of children whose parents do not want their kid’s data to be in POD. As I both object to the creation of the POD and have no confidence in the Department’s capacity to process this data in accordance with data protection law, please note that, per Paragraph 2(a) of Department of Educa...

The Intimate Internet: You're gonna need a thick skin. Due to social networking, we're all neighbors now. (And it's only getting worse.). I find that this deprives me of a lot of options for jokes. The people (and their projects) I want to joke about are just one hyperlink away. I myself am quite sensitive to criticism, so I also hold back criticism of others. But criticism is important, lest we all become a bunch of homogeneous circlejerkers. Get ready to be dissed! Paul M. Watson.

The Daily Profeth: Possible iPhone slide to unlock usability enhancement
http://daily.profeth.de/2009/10/possible-iphone-slide-to-unlock.html
Freitag, 30. Oktober 2009. Possible iPhone slide to unlock usability enhancement. Update on 2 Dec 2010: Just found out that Sony Ericssons Xperia x10 actually has an ergonomic slide to unlock area. Yay! Did you ever try to place a call with your iPhone while carrying your notebook? Did you ever receive a call on your iPhone when carrying your meal? It's not so easy to unlock the iPhone or accept that call while being only in possession of one hand, right? So one possibility to improve unlocking with one ...

Balm for the soul. I certainly don't see tablets heralding some sort of mythical "post-PC" era. Paul M. Watson. What does a tablet not do in the home for most families that a netbook does? If anything I see one-netbook families buying two or three tablets for home and not bothering to buy a new netbook. Home will, I think, become post-PC. Wed Dec 22, 11:00:00 AM GMT 1. For the latest news and discussions on the 20th January 2007 barcamp in Waterford. One day to go and a great crowd expected! January 21, 2007. That’s that then! Enjoyed the day thanks to great attendance (we got to our 80 Tom reckons), great speakers/panelists and sponsors. For myself (havn’t spoken to Tom about this just yet as he could have better things to be doing on a Sunday morning) the following lessons were learned. Could have been better:. Panels. Conor O’Neill. January 21, 2007 at 1:50 pm.

Art, media, opinion and ideas. Private phone messaging apps compared. Private phone messaging apps compared. December 22, 2014. Recently, for reasons, I had occasion to examine the current state of the market for encrypted messaging apps on phones. Tested: Wickr, BBM, Threema, Confide, Cyber Dust, Cyphr, Telegram. Thoughts to follow:. All of these apps start off wanting access to your contacts. You should always say no and invite the people you do want to communicate with manually. Text only, unlike the ...
