My husband’s grandfather passed away yesterday at the age of 90; peacefully, in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his loved ones. I have accompanied my spouse to his grandparents’ home over the past few days as they prepared for his passing, and have shared in the discussions of their family patriarch and of the dying process in general. She likes her school, has made new friends, and I have been walking her to her bus stop in the mornings with Fallon in tow.
