Calligraphy enthusiast, Letter lover. 為什麼著迷古體英文字，因為看了這一些古書才知道原來英文（或拉丁文）古字在遠古時代這麼美，於不同世紀用幾個不同字體撰寫而成的古書與聖經，配上有故事的繪圖、有宮廷圖畫、與神鬼、動物、花草…編繪而成的古書，就算裡頭的撰文是完全看不懂的拉丁文，還是讓人深深著迷。上了英文書法課Calligraphy之後才知道，原來英文書法跟中文書法一樣有不同字體。班上有10位同學一上都是七、八年甚至有人更久遠，大部分同學都是跟二位或以上的老師學書法，每一年還會上幾期上所謂「大師研習營」的workshop。連我們的老師本身也是，每一年夏天都會參加白宮御用寫手的研習營。 我這個連中文書法都寫不好的台灣人，第一天到課堂上時，連筆都帶錯了，以為就是一支鋼筆這麼簡單，原來那景象就像西方人帶著毛刷筆就要來上中文書法課一樣。不懂行道與門道誤把水彩筆當毛筆、反正都是毛刷般的無知就去上課了。 I am a letter lover. 訂閱： 文章 (Atom). 書字漫。I am a letter lover.

Calligraphy enthusiast, Letter lover. 去年11月時買了一株玫瑰花，盛開了九朵大黃玫瑰，但怎耐的住新竹的風？隔天便落了一陽台花瓣，雖花朵不因我吹散一地，但也因為我把它買回來家裡，所以早早結束年華盛開的日子。自此不敢再把任何植物請來我家陽台受風寒，還是等春天回暖風小一點再說吧！ 前陣子到花市逛，本想買些料理香草回來哉種，新竹的花市真正賣花草者很少，竟然90%是吃吃喝喝的攤販，香草植物更是少之又少，只能等下次有機會回去台中時再添加成員了。但是天氣好轉，花兒盛開、看來植物也好過了些，牡丹、百合、繡球花.盛開。於是搬了一盆繡球花和檸檬百里香回家，新竹花市幾攤的花販裡不見綠色百里香有點可惜。 I am a letter lover. 訂閱： 文章 (Atom). 書字漫。I am a letter lover. Calligraphy enthusiast, Letter lover. 因為使用的文字的不同，所以我們絕大部分人都很陌生安修爾UNCIAL這個古老的西洋字體，就像西方人永遠看不懂我們的楷書、隸書、明體一樣的道理。 安修爾字體(UNCIAL SCRIP)是從古羅馬RUSTIC CAPITALS演變而來，文獻記載盛行於第四世紀～第六世紀，但其實甚至到了第八世紀聖經抄寫還是以此字體為主。 此時，還沒有小寫字母出現、沒有標點符號，也就是說全部的字體就只有大寫。26個字母也尚未存在，因為還沒有用到那麼多的拼字。所以在UNCIAL與RUSTIC手寫體時代，還沒有J, W,與Ｚ。而U與V共用一個，在RUSTIC字體裡面形狀長得是「V」，UNCIAL時代形狀則是「U」。 前陣子在市面上看到一個法國精油的品牌使用UNCIAL字體當LOGO, 一眼望去便有別其它專櫃，非常古典！ St Cuthbert Gospel - 11回，現保存於大英博物館。 St Cuthbert Gospel-beginning of the text.
