Saturday, September 4, 2010. While Daddy is gone. The beginning of this week was enjoyable. Josiah had picked apples at Bita's house last weekend and we were looking forward to making applesauce. There were alot of apples. It took us all day with Josiah at the crank of the apple peeler-corer-slicer. We had enough to make a pie as well. We need a project when Daddy's gone as we all go a little crazy! I have a nine year old? How did that happen? First day of school. I'll just wait here til I see my friends...

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. 2 years of wellness. Today marks 2 years since Josiah was hospitalized with Botulism. I love that he is an active, talkative, healthy boy with light and life in his eyes. There were many times during his battle with Botulism that I thought we'd have to say good bye. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. I offered to make the birthday cake for Eden and Micah Nicholson's party. Shanel and I chose the pirate cake using my new favorite, marshmallow fondant, but after hearing that there would be 70 guests I quickly added the treasure chest cake. November 2, 2011. Leland's warm costume came from the Little People's store in Scotts Valley. We headed downtown for dinner at Hula's to celebrate Brenda's birthday then on to the informal parade down Pacific Avenue. We felt famous, everyone wanted to take our photo or be in a photo with us. It was fun for a while, until our cheeks hurt from smiling. We've already started tossing around ideas for next year. though I'm sure we wont get started making the costumes until the last minute.
