Our second full day of family vacation 2015 was amazing – coffee in bed and then a scenic boardwalk run. Beach time and yummy food and a walk into town for a little post office visit and some work time too. This was my first full phone set for Ten on Ten. Posted in 10 on 10. Back to School Sale. Family. Travel. DIY. Advocacy. Capturing the Everyday. Finding their sweet spot. I like animals, but I wouldn’t say I am especially drawn to them. I was given the gift of mothering a young man that lives and breathes all things nature and animal. He dreams about common animals and exotic ones. He knows a million random facts about animals and insects I’d never heard of until he introduced me to them. His presence in our family has resulted in a flock of chickens, fish, a cat and a dog. Vaseline on my lens.

Family. Travel. DIY. Advocacy. Capturing the Everyday. In the kitchen with my kids. My seven year old has rainbow chard growing in his garden box. I admit, I chose to plant it totally based on the pretty colors. I’ve never made anything with rainbow chard before, but it was just too pretty not to try. I tend to make a lot of my garden choices by color. If nothing else, the garden is fun to look at! We still have rainbow chard growing. I would love to hear some of your recipe suggestions! The tenth of the month included a fair bit of resting my feet, as I’m increasingly fatigued, but I did snap a few images throughout the hours, participating in the Ten on Ten. Glimpses of My Day. 1 remnants of a bouquet from my sweetheart, today discarded. 2 an accumulation of packages to be opened next week, when I attend my baby shower via Skype. 3 fresh mango slices, a recent craving. 4 my expanding belly. 6 a squirrel in the park, munching.
