The Cheerful Mind Project: January 2011
http://cheerfulmindproject.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 20, 2011. I will never use red clay in my home studio because I would never be able to clean it out of there - red clay infects everything! But, from time to time, I use red clay in class. I made this vase last summer. I carved the pattern in and glazed the bottom portion of the vase with celedon. I left the neck unglazed. Thursday, January 13, 2011. So me, and 28835 other people will submit our sketchbooks to be a part of this traveling exhibition. I sent in my finished book today!

Clay by Kristen: From Out of the Mist...
http://claybykristen.blogspot.com/2013/02/from-out-of-mist.html
Saturday, February 2, 2013. From Out of the Mist. After a multi-year absence (how embarrassing.my apologies to anyone who actually follows/followed this blog while I was living in the Mid-West! Fate has apparently decided it's time for me to shake the dust off my tools and get back in the studio, hopefully once again as a teacher for a local art center. I should be hearing more within a few days, but fingers crossed this is the beginning of another great new chapter. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Foot in the Door 4 @ MIA. It was exciting, fun, and claustrophobic all at the same time.fortunately, my sister and a friend came with me so I didn't have to face the crowds alone. For work throughout the exhibit (everything is numbered, so work is suprisingly easy to find). The exhibit runs through June 13th and is completely free, so if anyone happens to be in the area, I strongly suggest stopping by to check it out. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sunday, February 5, 2012. I haven't posted anything new in a while, and that's mainly because what's new is sad. Just after Christmas our old friend Walter passed on. It's been a month of grieving, and trying to figure out the new rhythm of our lives without him. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Gary Jackson: Fire When Ready Pottery. The Cheerful Mind Project: Saskatoon... Welcome to the Promised Land!
http://cheerfulmindproject.blogspot.com/2011/07/saskatoon-promised-land.html
Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Saskatoon. Welcome to the Promised Land! My dear husband and I took a quick trip the Saskatoon this past weekend. This was my first visit to Saskatoon and I was pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the city is. Rows and rows of well-kept historic houses, a lovely downtown located beside an even more lovely river valley, capped off with a miniature Whyte Ave-type street called Broadway. I've strayed from my original point though. On Broadway there is a restaurant / pub called ...
